Hello, firstly let me apologise for missing last month. Life really went mad but I am back with a Super Double Gate Fold, so welcome to Aprils Tech 4 Stampers blog hop! This month we are bringing you Fancy Folds. Fancy Folds or Fun Folds are a fabulous way to show alternative ways to use your products. They allow for interaction and an element of surprise.

I have created a Double Gate Fold card with a belly band. I am almost certain that this was during a recent team meeting and for our Mystery stamping, which would have been set by either Louise or Pip. We get given measurements on what pieces to cut behand, if they need to be cardstock or DSP (designer series paper), and whether they should be landscape or portrait. We then score, fold, stamp and create together and it is fabulous to see how different they all look.

Double Gate Fold Card with a Belly Band

Cut a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock, measuring 25cm x 15cm, and score at 2.5cm, 7.5cm, 17.5cm, and 22.5cm. Fold and burnish, mountain, valley, valley, mountain, to create a double gate fold.

Trim four pieces Petal Pink DSP, measuring 2.1cm x 14.6cm, and four pieces of Misty Moonlight DSP, measuring 4.6cm x 14.6cm. Adhere your DSP to the corresponding panels of your card base, front and back.

Stamp your hamster/gerbil onto a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 9.6cm x 14.6cm, with Smoky Slate ink. Add the three little hearts stamp to his tummy using Petal Pink ink. Adhere to the inside of your card base.

Create a belly band by cutting a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock measuring 25cm x 4cm. Score at 3cm, 13.2cm, and 23.4cm. Fold, burnish, and adhere to create a band.

Using Basic White cardstock die-cut a tag/label, I used the smaller tag from the Something Fancy Dies. Stamp your animal image using Smoky Slate ink onto Smoky Slate cardstock and die-cut or fussy cut out. Add to your tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere to your belly band.

Heat emboss your sentiment onto Petal Pink cardstock, using white embossing powder. Trim your sentiment to 5.5cm x 1cm and trim a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock to 6cm x 1cm. Adhere your sentiment to your Misty Moonlight cardstock, offsetting them slightly, and add to your belly band.

Finish your card by adding a Petal Pink bow to your tag and several Petal Pink Foiled Gems.

Hello, thank you for stopping by. For this month’s Tech 4 Stampers blog hop we are bringing you everything In-colors. We have been tasked with producing a project using three of the new 2024-2026 In-colors. It really isn’t hard to create with these beautiful In-colors, the hard part is choosing which three.

I have chosen to use Peach Pie, Pretty In Pink and Summer Splash, pairing them with the Bird’s Eye View stamp set. This stamp set is one of my favourites that carried over to the current annual catalogue. The simple images are such fun and easy to colour.

Using three of the 2024-2026 In-colors

Trim a piece of Summer Splash cardstock to 14.4cm x 10cm. Using the leaf image and Summer Splash ink, randomly stamp over your cardstock. This gives you a subtle tone-on-tone background.

Using Tuxedo Black Memento ink, stamp your birds, branch and five sets of leaves onto Basic White cardstock. Add colour using Crumb Cake, Peach Pie, Pretty In Pink and Summer Splash Stampin’ Blends Combos. You may notice that I also, accidently, used Petunia Pop for the little bird’s wing. Sorry, LOL! I am afraid there are no dies for this set, but as the images are quite simple, they are easy to fussy cut. Leaving a small white border makes this even easier.

Add your branch flat to your Summer Splash layer. For added dimension, curve your images using a bone folder or similar. You can then adhere these to your layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I have added a double layer to some of the leaves for a bit more perspective.

Stamp your sentiment onto Basic White cardstock and die cut, using a circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Fold a piece of Pretty In Pink Bordered Ribbon behind your sentiment and adhere to your card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish your card, add Summer Splash 2024-2026 In-colors Shimmer Gems around your leaves.

Hello, you may be thinking how can you create a variegated leaf? Well, all will become clear. It’s time for the April Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop, and we are bringing you New or Retiring products. Well, this has given us a huge choice and left the scope wide open. We have lots of products which are retiring from both the Annual and the Mini Catalogues. As for new, I have my Onstage goodies, as I am still awaiting my pre-order. Unfortunately, it got held up at customs due to incorrect paperwork from another company in container. But it is on its way and may be here by the time you are reading this.

I have used a mix of new and retiring items to bring you a card that has the appearance of a variegated leaf. The star of the show is the upcoming Leaf Collection stamp. This is a single background stamp, that just cries out to be inked with a sponge dauber, to give a variegated appearance. I have paired this with the Online Exclusive Pets & More stamp set and a number of retiring colours.

Creating a Variegated Leaf

Ink up your Leaf Collection stamp using Parakeet Party ink. Using a Sponge Dauber, add Granny Apple Green ink to select areas. I have added to the middle of the fuller leaves to give the variegated leaf appearance. Huff onto your stamp to moisten and stamp onto a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 9.7cm x 14.1cm.

Repeat the above process and fussy cut the large fuller leaf image from the middle. This will be used later.

Emboss a piece of Parakeet Party cardstock, measuring 9.7cm x 3cm, using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. Lightly rubber over with your Granny Apple Green Sponge Dauber, this will allow the images to pop. Adhere to your stamped layer. Wrap with Linen Thread and tie with a bow.

Building your card

Trim a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock to 10cm x 14.4cm and adhere to the back of your stamped layer. Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Thick Basic White cardstock, and adhere your layers to the front.

Stamp the parrot silhouette, from the Pets & More stamp set, using Tahitian Tide ink. Over stamp with the detail image, using Sweet Sorbet ink and fussy cut. Place your parrot within the fussy cut leaf and adhere to your card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Heat emboss your sentiment, in white, onto Crumb Cake cardstock and fussy cut or trim to size. I have used the ‘Hello’ from the Layering Leaves stamp set.

Finish your variegated leaf card by adding several blue Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Using Sale-a-bration Sunny Days DSP

Cut a piece of Sale-a-bration Sunny Days (DSP), measuring 8cm x 14.4cm, and matt onto a layer of Basic White cardstock, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm. Adhere to an A6 Petal Pink card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm.

Using the Deckled Circles Dies, die-cut 6.5cm circle from a piece of Petal Pink cardstock and using Petal Pink ink, stamp the bees’ image over the top half.

Stamp your little creature onto Basic White cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and add colour with Stampin’ Blends. Using the coordinating die, die cut out and adhere to your circle.

Add a fold of Pool Party Grosgrain Ribbon behind your circle and use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere to your card.

Finishing touches.

Add several Pook Party hearts from the Adhesive-backed Hearts & Flowers.

Hello, it’s time for Mays Tech 4 Stampers blog hop. Did you watch the Coronation of King Charles III? What a wonderful day, I watched whilst crafting! This month’s theme is For The Men. I really struggle with masculine cards, as I know many of us do. I tend to gravitate towards Simple Stamping for men’s card and that is what I have chosen to do today.

The stamp set I have chosen to use is Night Of Flight and it is a Host reward that can be earnt for a qualifying party order. The set is images only of wonderful moths. I understand that moths may not be your first choice, for a stamp set, but this really is something different and had me drawn to it.

A Simple Stamping Male Card

Trim a piece of Basic White cardstock to 10cm x 14.9cm and stamp your chosen moth image, using Stazon Jet Black ink. Using Pretty Peacock ink and a Blending Brush, create a shadow of colour over your stamped image. Start in the center and blend outwards. Continue until you are happy with the colour and blend.

For added texture and design, use a Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write Marker or Stampin’ Blend and splatter your card front, concentrating over your blended area. To do this, flick your brush tip on the lid edge.

Cut a mat of Pretty Peacock cardstock, measuring 10.2cm x 14.6cm, and adhere to your card front. Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Thick Basic White cardstock. Adhere your matted card front to your card base.

Stamp your sentiment onto Basic Black cardstock, using Versamark ink. Cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, shake off excess and heat, using a Heat Tool, until all is melted and shiny. Fussy cut or die cut around your sentiment and adhere to your card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Hello, thank you for stopping by and allowing me to inspire you to get creative! Today I would like to share with you a card using the On The Farm Bundle, and the FREE Day At The Farm DSP (Designer Series Paper), which I created for Global Design Project #GDP382. This week we have a sketch challenge.

Please note. The Day At The Farm DSP is only available during Sale-a-bration 2023.

Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Thick Basic White cardstock. Cut a piece of Day At The Farm DSP, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm, and adhere to your card front. Trim a contrasting square of DSP, measuring 10cm x 10cm, and adhere to your card front, on top of your first piece.

Stamp your cow, sheep, and tree images, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, onto Basic White cardstock. Colour your images using Watercolour Pencils. I have used a combination of Assortment 1 & 2. Using a Blender Pen, lightly go over your watercolour pencil to blend shading. This also helps to remove pencil marks. Die cut your images using the coordinating dies.

Die cut three circles, using the Layering Circles Dies, from Vellum. I have used the second and third smallest, plus the fourth largest. Adhere these to your card front, using a spot of Multi-Purpose Glue in the middle. Add your coloured images to your circles, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp your sentiment onto Basic White cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and trim or die cut to size. I chose to use a banner from Stylish Shapes Dies and trim off the lefthand side. Adhere into place using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches.

Give your sheep a sparkle with Wink Of Stella and add several Loose Daisy Embellishments.

Simple Layout

Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Old Olive cardstock. Cut a piece of Day At The Farm DSP (Designer Series Paper), measuring 9cm x 13.4cm, and adhere to your card front. Trim a contrasting strip of DSP, measuring 1.5cm x 14.3cm, and adhere to your card front, on top of your first piece.

Stamp your wall and animal image, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, onto Basic White cardstock. Colour your images using Stampin’ Blends. I have used Basic Black, Gray Granite and Petal Pink combos, plus Ivory. Using the largest square from the Stylish Shapes Dies, die cut your image and adhere to your car front, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp your sentiment onto Basic Black cardstock, using Versamark ink. Sprinkle with White Emboss Powder and heat until melted smooth. I have split my sentiment by inking up the first part of the stamp, stamping onto cardstock, cleaning stamp, inking up second part of stamp and stamping onto a separate piece of cardstock. Trim your sentiment to fit or die cut. My first part is trimmed using Paper Snips and second using smallest circle die, also from Stylish Shapes Dies.

Finishing Touches.

Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere your sentiment into place and add several Loose Daisy Embellishments.

Hello, thank you for stopping by and allowing me to inspire you to get creative! Today I would like to share with you how a embossed background can add that wow factor, full of texture. I created this card for the Global Design Project #GDP375. This week we have a theme challenge.

Being given a theme allows you to interpret as you wish and let your imagination run wild. The party theme can be shown in so many ways, I have chosen to take it literally and created a partying owl, with a sparkling embossed background.

Embossed Background for a Celebration Card

Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock approximately 10cm x 14.5cm. Add Coastal Cabana and Polished Pink ink, using a Blending Brush, to opposite corners and allow to dry. Use an Embossing Buddy to ensure no residue is present. Using Versamark ink, ink up Hand-drawn Dots background stamp and stamp onto your blended background. Sprinkle with Silver Embossing Powder and shake off excess. Heat until all powder is melted and trim edges, leaving you with an embossed background panel measuring 9.4cm x 13.8cm.

Adhere your embossed background onto a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 9.8cm x 14.2cm. Create an A6 cardbase from Thick Basic White cardstock, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm. Adhere your matted embossed background onto your cardbase.

Stamp your owl image onto Basic White cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Colour your image using Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella to the hat. I have used Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Polished Pink, Pumpkin Pie, and Soft Suede combos. Fussy cut around the image. Place a swoosh of White Glittered Organdy Ribbon behind your owl and adhere into place with Tear & Tape Adhesive. Add several Stampin’ Dimensionals and add to your card front.

Using the Alphabest stamp and punch bundle, heat emboss frames onto Basic White cardstock, using Versamark ink and Silver Embossing Powder. Stamp each letter of party into each frame, using Polished Pink ink. Punch out each element. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere across your card front. Attach a piece of white Bakers Twine behind each piece with a Mini Glue Dot.

Finishing Touches.

Die cut little stars from the Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Polished Pink cardstock, using the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies, and adhere to your card front.

Hello and welcome to Decembers Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop. This month we have a sketch challenge, and Carrie of The Inky Nook has given us a fabulous sketch. Thank you, Carrie.

My card today uses the Adorable Owls stamp set, which will be available as a free product during Sale a-bration. 5th January to 28th February 2023. I have created a peekaboo aperture to show a blended background, giving the impression of a sunrise/sunset. The super cute owl is sat amongst flowers and foliage, as if perched in a tree.

Creating a Blended Peekaboo Sunrise

Cut a layer of Soft Succulent cardstock, measuring 14.4cm x 10cm, and cut out a circle, using the second largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Emboss your layer with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.

Trim a piece of Basic White cardstock to 9cm x 9cm and using Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya ink and a Blending Brush, create a sunrise effect. Start by laying down Pale Papaya ink in bottom right corner and blend out to other corners. Follow with Fresh Freesia, keeping to the bottom right quarter. Sprinkle with a small amount of water to give texture.

Place your blended sunrise behind your layer and adhere into place using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Create an A6 card base, measuring 14.9cm x 10.5 cm, using Soft Succulent cardstock and adhere your layer to the front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. This gives you a Blended Peekaboo Sunrise.

Die cut two pieces of foliage from Pool Party and Evening Evergreen cardstock. I have used the large foliage die from the Forever Flourishing Dies. Stamp three small flowers tone on tone, using Fresh Freesia and Pale Papaya cardstock and ink. I chose to use an image from Lovely You stamp set. Cut out your flowers.

Stamp one of the owl images onto Basic White cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Colour the image using Stampin’ Blends. I have used Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake and Smokey Slate combos, plus dark Pumkin Pie for the beak. Fussy cut around your owl without leaving a white boarder.

Stamp your sentiment with Versamark ink, onto Basic Black cardstock, cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, shake off excess and heat until all is melted. Trim to size and.

Finishing Touches

Add your foliage to your card with Mini Glue Dots and trim off any stems not needed. Add your owl with double Stampin’ Dimensionals and your sentiment with single. Arrange your flowers around your owl and adhere with Mini Glue Dots.

To finish your card, add several Pale Papaya Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Baked Gems.

Hello, thank you for stopping by and allowing me to inspire you to get creative! Today I would like to share with you how I created this Woo Hoo! You Did It card for the Global Design Project #GDP355. This week we have a Theme: Animals.

I just had to choose the Happier Than Happy stamp set for this challenge. The bear, fox and owl are so cute and remind me of the Gruffalo books.

For this card, I wanted to use the Rays Of Lights and Amazing Phrasing stamp sets. I only received these on Monday and knew straight away what I wanted to create. The Rays Of Light stamp is a fabulous background stamp, which makes creating backgrounds easy. And the Amazing Phrasing stamp set is FREE with any £90 order, what’s not to like? Plus, it really does have amazing statement sentiments.

Woo Hoo! You did it card

Place a piece of Basic White cardstock in your Stamparatus and secure with Magnets. Place your Rays Of Light stamp onto your cardstock and close your Stamparatus plate, picking up your stamp. Using a Sponge Dauber, add Blushing Bride ink to the outer edges of your stamp. Close your Stamparatus plate to stamp onto cardstock. Working in from the edges, add Polished Pink, then Melon Mambo ink to your stamp and stamp onto your cardstock. This will give to an ombre effect. Trim your stamped background to 9cm x 13cm and mat with Basic Black cardstock.

Stamp your bear image using Coastal Cabana, fox using Gorgeous Grape and owl using Tahitian Tide ink onto Basic White cardstock. Using the coordinating Happy Forest Dies, die cut out your images. Loop silver Simply Elegant Trim and place onto your background. Add your stamped images using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stamp your Woo Hoo! sentiment onto Basic White cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and fussy cut. Adhere to your background using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Thick Basic White cardstock. Adhere your background to your card base.

To finish your card, add Sparkle & Shine Sequins Assortment. For a more natural look, I took a pinch, held over my card, and dropped them. I then glued them into place, where they had fallen.
