Welcome to November’s Build & Bloom Blog Hop. This month our theme is Celebrate. There are some many things to celebrate; Christmas, Birthday, passing an exam, new job, the list goes on. I wanted to celebrate Family! Family is, for the most of us, the most important thing we have. Family can be whom ever you choose and I have a few; my actual family, my Stampin’ family and my support family. For this project I am choosing my actual family and will be using the spread for our Christmas photos.

Celebrate Family Double Page Spread

I will share here how I created the ‘Celebration’ page as I have a video creating the ‘Family’ page on a recent Facebook Live. I will add the video below.

On 12″ x 12″ Basic White cardstock, randomly stamp the large floral image from the Christmas Greenery stamp set using Secret Sea ink. Ensure that some of your images go over the edge of your page and that you rotate your stamp for a more random look. Using the two small flower infill stamps and Bubble Bath ink, add colour to your images. I used 2nd generation/stamped off stamping for a more subtle look.

Cut a strip of Secret Sea Two-Tone cardstock measuring 12″ x 1″, Gold Foil measuring 12″ x 1/4″, and Old Olive check DSP measuring 12″ x 2″. Adhere these, in order, to the bottom of your page. I have left approximately 1″ gap.

Using Secret Sea cardstock cut three squares measuring; 3 1/4″, 3 1/2″, and 4 1/2″. Cut three squares measuring 3″, 3 1/4″, and 4 1/4″ from a piece of floral DSP. Adhere DSP squares to Secret Sea squares and onto page, I used dimensionals. Cut three Basic White squares measuring 2 3/4″, 3″, and 4″. Adhere the smallest and largest to the DSP squares.

On the middle Basic White square, using the Our Story stamp set, stamp ‘the best memories are created with’ using Secret Sea ink and ‘family’ using Red Red ink. I have also used this stamp set for the foliage and berries, using Old Olive and Real Red inks. Once dry adhere to your DSP square.

Stamp the large floral image onto Basic White, using Secret Sea ink. Using the corresponding infill stamps, add Cherry Cobbler ink to the main flower, Bubble Bath to the small flowers, Old Olive to the pines/firs, and 2nd generation/stamped off Old Olive to the leaves. Die-cut and add to your page using dimensionals.

Trim a piece of Real Red cardstock to approximately 7″ x 2″ and add adhesive sheet to the rear. Use the Alphabet A La Mode dies to die-cut ‘Celebration’ and adhere to page.

Finish you page by adding gold and green Traditional Sparkling Sequins and Wink of Stella on your Cherry Cobbler Flower.

Hello and welcome to May’s blog hop. This month we are sharing Masculine makes with you. I struggle when it comes to masculine cards, as I know many do. Well, we have the perfect solution to this.

The Beautiful Gallery Suite contains a 6″x6″ DSP (designer series paper) pack which has some stunning images that would not look a miss in an art gallery. These images make for a beautiful card, with just an added sentiment and maybe a few embellishments being all that is needed. I have used afew other products from the suite to create my masculine card.

Masculine Card

Using the frame die from the Gallery Blooms Dies, die-cut from Secret Sea cardstock. Trim a piece of Beautiful Gallery DSP to fit behind the largest frame and adhere to back of frame.

Cut a piece coordinating dsp, measuring 14.4cm x 10cm, and emboss using the Damask Design Embossing Folder.

Create a landscape A6 cardbase, measuring 14.9cm x 10.5cm, from Basic Beige cardstock. Adhere your embossed DSP flat to the front. Layer your framed DSP to the front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Gold heat emboss your sentiment onto Basic Beige cardstock. I have used the ‘Celebrate’ from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set, also part of the suite. Trim or die-cut your sentiment as required. I have used the banner from the Delightful Wishes Dies.

Finish your card by adding Pressed Flowers Motifs embellishments.

Welcome back for our February Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop and our theme is Just To Say! Just to say Hi, Just to say welcome, Just to say happy birthday, Just to say anything you want to say. This theme can be used to create a card for any occasion and I am excited to share my card with you all.

I wanted to share the new Wildflower Birthday suite with you all and this is a great opportunity to do just that. This suite is full of gorgeous pastel colours with a touch of elegant gold foiling. The DSP (designer series paper) is perfect for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and much more. They also come with the added bonus of pre die-cut images, making creating even easier.

Just To Say, Hooray!

Cut a layer of Basic White cardstock, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm. Using the Starstruck Embossing Folder, emboss your layer and adhere to a Soft Sea Foam cardbase, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm.

Trim two pieces of DSP, with coordinating designs, to 5cm x 8cm. Adhere these to your embossed layer, having them on the wonk and overlaping.

Choose your pre die-cut image and adhere to your DSP panels using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Trim an piece of Pretty In Pink Bordered Ribbon, aproximately 8cm long, and fold in half. Adhere this under your image with a Mini Glue Dot and trim if needed.

Stamp your sentiment onto Basic White cardstock, using Blueberry Bushel ink. Fussy cut around your sentiment and adhere to your card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finish your card by adding several Party Dots.

Hello, it is time for the Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop. This month we are CASEing a friend! Many people ask what CASE means or stands for. Stampin’ Up!® say Copy And Share Everything, this is what I go with always making sure I give credit to the creator. Many say Copy And Selectively Edit, which many of us do and again always giving credit. You can choose to go with either or both. My card today is both as I didn’t have the products used to create the card I am CASEing so I have used what I have.

I have chosen to CASE a card created by Katie Drew Cards. I love the design and colours used for this project. The black label against the watercolour background really does pop and the colours bring me joy. Katie’s card was created for the Global Design Project CASE the designer challenge #GDP460. Do check out Katie’s creations.

CASE A Friend

Trim a piece of Fluid 100 watercolor paper to 10cm x 14.4cm. Spritz with water to dampen, this allows the ink to move easier. I added Berry Burst ink to a block and added water to the ink, you may have a preferred method for doing this. Using a water painter, add the watered ink to your paper, keeping it to the middle. Allow the ink to run and spread. You can add more ink if need. When you are happy with the colour/coverage allow to dry, I used my heat tool to speed things along.

Repeat spritzing your paper, adding ink and drying for Azure Afternoon and Daffodil Delight to either side of the Berry Burst. After you have your base colour, add splatters of each colour. I used my Stampin Blends, flicking the brush nib on the edge of the lid. Set aside to allow to dry.

From Basic Black cardstock die-cut a banner, using the Stylish Shapes Dies and a label from the Something Fancy Dies. Adhere your banner behind your label. Using the Wanted To Say Dies, die-cut ‘Celebrate’ from Azure Afternoon and Basic White cardstock. Adhere together and onto your Basic Black label.

Also using the Wanted To Say dies, die-cut hearts and stars from Azure Afternoon and Berry Burst cardstock. Use your snips to fussy cut these part. Set these aside to add later.

Using four scraps of Basic White cardstock, approx. 5mm x 10cm, create striped candles. I coloured my cardstock with watered ink to give a pale tone and, once dry, used a blend to draw stripes. Cut these to create four pieces of each colour, they do not need to be the same length, it is better if they are not. For the flames of the candle, die-cut Daffodil Delight cardstock using the larger raindrops die from the Bright Skies Dies. Add inner detail using a blend.

Cut a strip of Azure Afternoon, measuring 1cm x 6cm, and draw lines across. Reapeat with a piece of Berry Burst, measuring 1cm x 4.5cm. Add these to the back of your Basic Black label. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals add your label to your watercolour background. Place in your ‘candles’, trimming to size if needed, and glue into place. Don’t forget to add your flames to the top.

Stamp ‘LET’S’ and ‘YOU’ onto Basic White cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used two stamps from the Simply Said stamp set and trimmed them to size. Adhere these to your label.

Create an A6 cardbase, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Basic White Thick cardstock. Adhere your card front to your cardbase using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Finish your card by adding your hearts and stars, and splatters of Wink Of Stella.
