Hello and welcome to November’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop. This month we are all about 3D items and I would like to share a Simple Christmas Wreath with you, that I CASED (Copy And Share Everything) from the mini catalogue pg47. On my first look through the catalogue, I was drawn to the Sweetest Star Bundle. The fun images are so cute and having a punch makes for quick and easy crafting. I have also seen this turned into a Halloween wreath instead of a Christmas Wreath.

I haven’t got the DSP (designer series paper), nor the ribbon used in the sample. That’s right, I don’t have everything! Lol. I have used the Sentimental Christmas DSP, which is my favourite, and the Shaded Spruce Satin & Sheer Ribbon. The florist’s ring was one I had previously purchased to create a different Christmas wreath; these can be purchased from various places at low cost. You could cut one from strong card.

A Simple Christmas Wreath

Choose three designs of DSP and punch out six of each design, using the Sweetest Star Punch. This is enough for a 10″ wreath. Score along from each point and crease. Use a hot glue gun to attach your stars to your wreath. Alternate your designs and turn stars to various orientations.

Stamp your sentiment onto Basic White cardstock, using Shaded Spruce ink. I used the More Wishes stamp set for my sentiment. Trim to required size and flag cut the lefthand side. Matt onto Poppy Parade cardstock. Attach to your wreath.

Stamp your chosen image onto a strip of Basic White cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Colour the stamped image with Stampin’ Blends. I used Poppy Parade, Wild Wheat, Basic Black, Ivory, and added Wink Of Stella to any white areas. Once dry punch out and adhere to the right of your sentiment, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Tie a large bow with Shaded Spruce Satin & Sheer Ribbon and adhere behind you punched out image.

Finish your Simple Christmas Wreath by adding a length of ribbon to hang.

Hello and welcome to the March Tech 4 Stampers blog hop. This month we are all about flowers and with Spring being just around the corner, what could be better. I wanted to create a Floral Plaque as a gift for a friend. We all have lots of floral stamps, papers and dies, that we use regularly for our cardmaking, scrapbooking, but have you ever thought about using them to create a 3D Floral Plaque? This can be a beautiful addition to your own home or used as a fabulous gift for a friend or family member.

With our theme being flowers, I just had to use the Paper Florist Dies. These dies can create a full range of flower types, depending how you fit the pieces together. For my floral plaque, I have kept it quite simple, using only two sets of petal dies and two foliage dies.

Creating your 2D Floral Plaque

Using a sponge dauber or blending brush, Old Olive and Early Espresso ink add colour to your chosen plaque. I added more around the edges. Allow to dry whilst die cutting. (I purchased my plaque from a local craft store.)

For your three large flowers, die cut two sets of the large petals for each flower, using Calypso Coral cardstock. Use a blending brush and Calypso Coral ink to add shading to the edges of your petals. Add dimension by curling the petals with your bonefolder. Adhere your petals together using mini glue dots. For two of my flowers, I have glued them together in two layers of three and the other I layered round in a circle. Die cut centers for your flowers using Lemon Lolly cardstock and adhere to your flowers.

For your five smaller flowers, die cut one set of the four X type petals for each flower, using Very Vanilla cardstock. Using your bonefolder, curl the petals both forward and some backwards. Layer together, using mini glue dots, and offset the petals. For two I have only used two layers and not all four. This just gives a different look. Die cut centers for each flower from Lemon Lolly cardstock and adhere into place.

Using Old Olive cardstock, die cut several leaves and foliage pieces. I have used three of the single leaf and four of the multi leaf. Add dimension to these with your bonefolder.

Arrange your flowers on your plaque and adhere into place using mini glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals. Fill in any open areas with your leaves and adhere into place with mini glue dots.

To finish up your floral plaque, heat emboss a sentiment in white onto Old Olive cardstock and trim to size. Add using dimensionals and embellish with several Brushed Brass Butterflies.

HI, I just can’t get enough of the Bee Mine Suite and have used a pack of DSP (designer series paper) already. The bright and bold images are great fun and are great for so many occasions. The suite includes a stamp set and punch bundle, 12 x 12 DSP, ribbon, embellishments, and some really cute square pillow boxes.

I have been sharing loads of projects over on my Facebook page and Instagram this week and yesterday I shared a sampler box frame. I thought I would share how I did this on here.

The layout is one I have used before and works well to highlight the range of products in a suite.

Creating your sampler box frame

I always use a basic white layer, measuring 21cm x 21 cm, as a base. This will fit into the older style Ikea Ribba box frame and the new style Sannahed box frame.

Cut your backing layers from a coordinating cardstock, I have used Pool Party. You will need five squares, measuring 6cm x 6cm and two rectangles, measuring 6cm x 12.5cm. The extra 0.5cm is to allow for the gap between the squares.

The Rectangles

Rectangle 1 Trim a piece of basic white cardstock, measuring 5.5cm x 12cm. Stamp several flower stems along the bottom, using Lemon Lime Twist ink. Add stamped flowers to your stems, using Sweet Sorbet ink, and among the stems, using Petal Pink. Onto a scrap of basic white cardstock, stamp your bee using Daffodil Delight and Memento ink. Heat emboss your wings and antenna onto vellum, in black. Punch out your images and adhere your wings and antenna to the reverse or your bee. Stamp the bee trail in Pool Party and adhere your bee at the end, using Stampin’ Dimansionals. Finish with a few Hearts & Flowers embellishments.

Rectangle 2 Trim a different piece of DSP to 5.5cm x 12cm. Fussy cut bees from DSP and adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Remember you can use the edge images and place along the edge.

The Squares

Square 1 Trim a piece of DSP, measuring5.5cm x 5.5cm. Add a bow.

Square 2 Piece of DSP measuring 5.5cm x 5.5cm.

Square 3 Basic white cardstock, measuring 5.5cm x 5.5cm. Stamp the honeycomb image randomly with Daffodil Delight ink and the single heart between with Sweet Sorbet ink. Fussy cut honey pots from DSP and attach with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Square 4 Basic white cardstock, measuring 5.5cm x 5.5cm, add a faint blend of Pool Party ink from the middle. Stamp and punch out a bee and wings, using Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink and Memento ink. Adhere flat and stamp on antenna, I filled in gaps with Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.

Square 5 Die cut Stylish Shapes Dies circle and stamp your sentiment using Sweet Sorbet Ink. Finish with a heart from the Hearts & Flowers embellishments.

Putting it together

Add to your basic white base, using Stamin’ Dimensionals, as layout. You will leave a 0.5cm gap between each panel.

Hello and welcome to Aprils Tech 4 Stampers blog hop. I can’t believe that we are in April already, and I do hope you had a lovely Easter. This month’s theme is Something Square. I did think about a square card, but decided I wanted to take it further and created a square box frame.

Create A Box Frame

I first created this frame with Emma Goddard – The Coastal Crafter, at one of her online events and knew I would be recreating in the future. The box frame we created was a beautiful floral piece, which hangs on my lounge wall.

Score a piece of 12 x 12 Basic White cardstock at 3/4″, 1 1/2″, 2 1/4″, 3″, 9″, 9 3/4″, 10 1/2″ and 11 1/4″. Turn 90 degrees and repeat.

Score at 3 3/4″ and 8 1/4″ from the top down to the second line. Turn 180 degrees and repeat.

Cut along these score lines and diagonal out to the next horizontal score line. Cut tabs up to the next score line and along to the end. Repeat to leave a shape as below.

Fold and burnish all score lines. Fold in wider sides and adhere into place. Repeat with smaller ends and adhere tabs. This will give you a frame.

Decorating your Box Frame.

Trim a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″. Cut a piece of Happy Forest Friends DSP (Designer Series Paper), to 4 1/8″ x 4 1/8″ and adhere to your Calypso Coral cardstock. Adhere inside your box frame.

Fussy cut a bear, fox, tree, tree stump, toadstool and bird from the dsp. Stamp several trees from the Happier Than Happy stamp set, using Old Olive and Mossy Meadow ink on Basic White cardstock. Die cut using the coordinating die. Arrange onto your frame using Multipurpose Adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using Old Olive ink, stamp your sentiment onto Basic White cardstock. Add several toadstools, using Calypso Coral ink. Die cut using a label from the Something Fancy Dies. Using a larger die to cut a label from Calypso Coral cardstock. Adhere together and onto your box frame.

Finish by adding Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Today I would like to share with you a Mini Jam Jar, that I have decorated for the Global Design Project #GDP331. This week we have been given the theme: Dots & Circles. This allows use to allow our creativity to go wild and interpret as we wish.

My Mini Jam Jar

Cut two strips of coordinating DSP (Designer Series Paper), measuring 3cm x 16.5cm and 2.5cm x 16.5cm. Using ‘Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive’, place the thinner strip in the middle of the thicker strip. Place ‘Stampin’ Seal+’ onto the rear and wrap around your ‘Mini Jam Jar’.

Stamp a set of peaches, from the ‘Sweet As A Peach’ stamp set, using ‘Calypso Coral’ ink and second generation stamping onto ‘Basic White’ cardstock. (Stamp onto a scrap of paper first to give a softer tone.) Using ‘Old Olive’ ink, stamp the branch with leaves image, also second generation. Die cut these out, using the coordinating ‘Peach Dies’. Adhere your peaches to your ‘Mini Jam Jar’, using ‘Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive’ and ‘Stampin’ Dimensionals’. Cut off two sets of leaves and adhere behind your peaches.

Stamp your sentiment onto ‘Basic White’ cardstock with ‘Balmy Blue’ ink. Die cut using the label die from the ‘Peach Dies’.

Die cut two scalloped circles, using the two largest scalloped circles from the ‘Layering Circles’ dies, from your chosen DSPs. Layer onto your ‘Mini Jam Jar’ lid using ‘Stampin’ Seal+’. Carefully tease down the edges and fix into place with ‘Mini Glue Dots’.

Finish by adding white bakers twine, from the ‘Bakers Twine Essentials Pack’, around your lid and tying with a bow.

Hello and welcome to my latest blog post. Today I am joining the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop -Anything but a card. I would like to share with you a fun kids box frame I made for a friend, who is expecting a new baby very soon.

I love making box frames, especially when they can be bright and fun. They can add such character to a space and can be easily changed to reflect their surroundings. In the past I have made a few as samplers and for another friend, who has them for her salon, where she has given me a quote or a description of what she would like.

My Fun Kids Box Frame

For this project I have combined the ‘Hippo Happiness’ stamp set, ‘Hippo & Friends’ dies and the ‘Playing with Patterns’ suite. The colours are inspired by the ‘Playing with Patterns DSP’ (designer series paper), ‘Calypso Coral’, ‘Crushed Curry’, ‘Purple Posy’, ‘Coastal Cabana’ and ‘Night of Navy’.

Layer a piece of ‘Coastal Cabana’ DSP, measuring 15.5cm x 15.5cm, on to a piece of ‘Night of Navy’ cardstock, measuring 16cm x 16cm. Adhere to a white base inside your box frame.

Die cut your chosen words using the ‘Playful Alphabet’ dies, from ‘Calypso Coral’, ‘Crushed Curry’ and ‘Purple Posy’ card stock. Adhere to your DSP, using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’.

Using ‘Calypso Coral’, ‘Crushed Curry’ ink and ‘Purple Posy Write Marker’ (to colour you stamp) stamp onto a piece of ‘Basic White’ cardstock. Use animal images from the ‘Hippo Happiness’ stamp set. Add facial detail stamps with ‘Memento Tuxedo Back’ ink. I stamped two horses so they could play together.

Die cut using the coordinating dies and adhere to your DSP, using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’.

To finish, add several ‘Playing with Patterns Resin Dots’.

Coordinating Welcome Baby Card

I also created a coordinating Welcome Baby card, using the same products. and ‘Vellum’ to soften the DSP.
