Welcome to Septembers Build & Bloom Blog Hop. This month our theme is Embossing. There are two main types of embossing; Heat Embossing where you stamp an image/sentiment with sticky ink and cover with embossing powder, and heat to melt the powder. This gives a shinny raised result. Dry Embossing using a embossing folder to press a design into cardstock. This is usually done by inserting cardstock into a plastic folder and running through a machine.

I want to highlight dry embossing and how stunning the designs can be. I am currently in love with the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder. Its delicate design is perfect for backgrounds and layering onto.

Embossed Background ThanksCard

Create an A6 cardbase, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Pool Party cardstock. Cut a piece of Pool Party cardstock measuring 10cm x 14.4cm and emboss with the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder. Adhere to the front on your cardbase.

Fussy cut a section of flowers from the Floral Impression DSP, (designer series paper), big enough to be the main image on your card but not overpower your embossing. Adhere flat to your card front. Select a variety of extra flowers and fussy cut.

Stamp your sentiment onto Fresh Freesia cardstock, using Misty Moonlight ink. Trim to suit and adhere to your card front using Dimensionals. Adhere your single flowers around your sentiment using a mixture of Dimensionals and multi purpose adhesive.

Finish your card by adding several Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots, in Pool Party and Fresh Freesia.

Hello and welcome to Septembers Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop. This month we have Nature as our theme and there is so much choice on what I could use. When I think of Nature I think insects, flowers and trees, so I have incorporated all of these into my card.

The Spring Celebrations and Washes & Florals Tags Mix & Match Ephemera Packs scream Nature, making them perfect for this project. The tags pack contains eight styles of tags, with two being floral or wood grain. Whilst the Spring Celebrations pack contains butterflies, foliage, braches, birds, and sentiments. Both of these pack are currently on offer in the Last Chance Products at £2.70 & £3.37 making them an even better buy.

Thank You Nature Card

Create an A6 cardbase, measuring 14.9cm x 10.5cm, using Old Olive cardstock. Cut a piece of Thoughtful Journey DSP (designer series paper) measuring 14.9cm x 7.5cm and adhere to a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock, measuring 14.9cm x 7.7cm, to show a small border top and bottom. Adhere to your cardbase with equal space top and bottom.

Using a blending brush, add a light blend of Old Olive ink to the edges of a floral tag from the Washes & Florals Tags Mix & Match Ephemera Pack. Add a bow using Linen Thread.

Layer up elements from the the Spring Celebrations Mix & Match Ephemera Pack with your tag, onto the front of your card. I used a wood grain wreath, wood grain thank you banner, two foliage, and a butterfly with a mixture of wet glue and dimensionals.

Finish your card by adding several Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Hello and welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog, where our theme is Any Three Colours from One Colour Family. Any three colours we choose. If there is one thing, we have plenty of, it is colours. From bright and bold to pale and pastel, and everything in-between.

I knew straight away, I wanted to use the New 2022 – 2024 In colours. These are so bright and fun, they make a real impact.

Three Colours for A Little Hello Card

For my card I have chosen to use the Boughs & Blossoms stamp set, which will be retiring at the end of June 2022. This stamp set has beautiful, bold floral and foliage images, plus three everyday sentiments.

Trim a piece of Basic White cardstock to 9.8cm x 14.2cm. Using Orchid Oasis, Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party ink, randomly stamp over your piece of Basic White cardstock to create a fun background. Splatter lightly over your stamped background, using the same three colours. Todo this I used Stampin’ Blends and flicked the brush nib on the edge of the lid.

Cut a layer of Basic Black cardstock, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm, and adhere to the back of your stamped background. Wrap a piece of Black & White Gingham Ribbon across the center and adhere at the back.

Stamp your sentiment using Versamark ink, onto Basic Black cardstock, and cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Shake off the excess and heat until melted. Die-cut using a banner from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Adhere onto your ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the Bough Punch, punch out three pieces in your three colours. Tuck these under your sentiment and adhere with Multi-Purpose Glue.

To finish, add several Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Hello, thank you for stopping by and allowing me to inspire you to get creative! Today I would like to share with you how I created this Honeybee Thank You card for the Global Design Project #GDP346. This week we have a sketch/layout challenge.

I really enjoy a sketch/layout challenge. You can copy it exactly or as loosely as you choose. Turn it on its head or just make a subtle change. The possibilities are endless.

Honeybee Thank You Card

For this card I will be using the Honeybee Home stamp set and Amazing Thanks dies.

Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, from Sahara Sand cardstock and adhere a Basic White Layer, measuring 10.3cm x 14.7cm, to the front. Trim a piece of So Saffron cardstock to 10cm x 14.4cm and emboss using the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.

Using the Stitched Rectangles Dies, die cut the third largest rectangle from Basic White cardstock and lightly blend So Saffron ink to the middle, using a Blending Brush. Take a Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Marker and gently flick the brush nib on the edge of the lid. This will give a light splattering of ink to your rectangle.

Adhere your stitched rectangle to your embossed So Saffron cardstock, using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Wrap Linen Thread twice around and tie with a bow on the lefthand side. Adhere to your card base with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Die cut your thanks sentiment from Basic White cardstock and the coordinating backing in Sahara Sand cardstock. Layer together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and adhere to your card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp several bees, using Basic Gray ink, onto Basic White cardstock. Colour using Light Pool Party, Light So Saffron and Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. Die cut using the coordinating dies and adhere to your card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Finishing Touches

To finish your card, add Wink of Stella to your bee wings and several pearlescent white Elegant Faceted Gems.

Hello, thank you for stopping by and allowing me to inspire you to get creative! Today I would like to share with you how I created this Wild Poppies Congratulations card for the Global Design Project #GDP344.

When most people think of poppies, they think of the bright red poppies that we use for remembrance. When in fact, poppies come in lots of assorted colours. We grow California Poppies in our garden, which are an orange colour. I have chosen to use Mango Melody ink for my California Poppies.

California Poppies Congratulation Card

For this card I will be using the Painted Poppies stamp set and coordinating Painted Labels dies.

Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 9.7cm x 14.1cm. Stamp your larger splodge image into two opposite corners, using Soft Succulent ink. Repeat this several times, spreading towards the middle using first, second and third generation stamping, too great a background that graduates out towards the middle.

Trim a piece of Soft Succulent cardstock to 10cm x 14.4cm and adhere to the back of your Basic White layer. Then, adhere to a Thick Basic White card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm.

Using Mango Melody ink, stamp your poppies onto Basic Whites cardstock and die cut, using the coordinating dies. Stamp your leaves, using Old Olive ink and die cut also. Arrange over your stamped background and adhere with Multipurpose adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a scrap of Basic Black cardstock, stamp your sentiment three times, using Versamark ink. Cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, shake off excess and heat until melted. Trim each to size and adhere to your card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I chose the congratulations from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set.

Finishing Touches

To finish your card, add several Rhinestonel Basic Jewels.

Hello, thank you for popping by and allowing me to inspire you to get creative! Today I would like to share with you a couple of ways to use Watercolour Pencils. This card is created for the Global Design Project #GDP343 Theme: Beautiful Bugs.

I had a bit of a panic when I saw this theme, not sure if I had a suitable stamp set. When I looked closely, I had two to choose from, one with a Bee and the second with a Dragonfly.

Pretty Dragon Fly with Watercolour Pencils

For this card I have used the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set. This stamp set includes a beautiful floral image, two gorgeous large Dragonflies, a shadow/fill in solid for the wings, a cluster of small Dragonflies and four sentiments.

Cut a piece of Shimmery White cardstock, measuring 9.7cm x 14.1cm. Stamp your foliage image twice to the bottom left of your Shimmery White cardstock, using second generation/stamped off Sahara Sand ink. Add colour to your image, using watercolour pencils and a blender pen. I have used a mix of both assortment 1 & 2. If you enjoy fussy cutting and want extra texture, you can fussy cut around your image, leaving the left side and bottom, and adhere this to another 9.7cm x 14.1cm piece of Shimmery White cardstock.

Trim a layer of Sahara Sand cardstock to 10cm x 14.4cm and adhere to the rear of your Shimmery White layer. Wrap Linen Thread twice around the bottom of your card front and tie with a bow. Then, adhere to a Thick Very Vanilla cardbase, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm.

Using Sahara Sand ink, stamp your sentiment onto Very Vanilla cardstock and trim to size. Layer onto a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock and trim to leave a thin border. Adhere over your Linen Thread, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a scrap of Shimmery White cardstock, stamp your Dragonfly using second generation/stamped off Sahara Sand ink. Colour your image using Watercolour Pencils and a blender pen. Punch out using the Dragonfly Punch and adhere to your card front, but only putting adhesive on the back of the Dragonflies body.

Finishing Touches

Punchout two small and one large Dragonfly from Vellum cardstock. From the large Dragonfly, trim off the wings and adhere with a glue dot, under your Dragonflies wings. Also using glue dots, adhere your two small Dragonflies to your card front. To finish your card, add several Pearl Basic Jewels.

Die-cut DSP to Create a Happy Birthday Card

For my card I have chosen to use the Hues of Happiness DSP (Designer Series Paper). This DSP has the most gorgeous floral and watercolour images and uses a vibrant collection of colours. The Blossoming Happiness Dies coordinate perfectly with the DSP, allowing you to die-cut flowers and foliage straight from the papers.

Create an A6 cardbase, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, from Thick Basic White cardstock. Adhere a layer of Night of Navy cardstock, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm. Trim a piece of DSP to 9.5cm x 13.9cm and adhere to your cardbase.

Die-cut flowers and foliage from your chosen sheet of DSP. Make sure you use the ones on the edges as these are useful too. Arrange them on your cardbase until you are happy with how they look. Starting with a main focal point will help with placement. Once you are happy you can adhere them into place, popping your main focal point, and maybe one or two more, up onto Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp your sentiment using Versamark ink, onto Night of Navy cardstock, and cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Shake off the excess and heat until melted. Trim to size and adhere to your card.

To finish, colour several Rhinestone Basic Jewels with Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend and add to your card.

Hello and thank you for joining me. Today I am creating a Thank You Bouquet for the Global Design Project #340! This week we have a CASE The Designer Challenge.

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

A Thank You Bouquet

Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, from Basic Grey cardstock. Trim a piece of Heart & Home DSP (designer Series Paper) to 10cm x 14.4cm and adhere to your card base. Cut a square of Heart & Home DSP, measuring 8cm x 8cm, and adhere in the middle of your card front. Add a Basic Grey Heart & Home Doily off to the righthand side of your card and trim off excess.

Using the Honeybee Home Bundle, stamp your flower image onto Basic White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut out. Colour your image using Fresh Freesia and Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends. Die cut several foliage from Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, and Cinnamon Cider cardstock. Using Basic White and Basic Grey cardstock, die cut your sentiment and adhere together.

Trim a piece of Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon to 24cm and cut in half lengthways. Fold this into three and fix under your flowers. Add your flowers to your card front, using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Place your foliage behind your flowers and trim to fit, fix into place with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Cut your sentiment from Basic White and Basic Grey cardstock, using the Amazing Thanks dies and adhere to your card front with Multipurpose liquid Adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finish off with Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Hello and welcome to this months Stamptastic Friends Blog, where our theme is CASE (copy and share everything) Another Stamptastic Friend. I love to CASE others and enjoy making their ideas my own. I have chosen to CASE a card created by Heather Thomas – The Songbird Stamper. The card I am casing used the retired Forever and Always stamp set and a watercolour background.

Abstract Flower and Cheat Watercolour CASE Card

For my project I have used the Abstract Beauty Suite and a few extra embellishments. The Abstract Beauty Cards & Envelopes are printed with a watercolour wash background, enabling you to create a quick and simple card without having the hassle of creating one.

Choose your card base and add extra interest to your watercolour background by stamping the multiple dash image randomly, I have used the Crushed Curry card base and ink. Cut Two strips of Abstract Beauty SDSP (Speciality Designer Series Paper), measuring 1cm x 10cm. Adhere these to your card, overlapping slightly.

To create your abstract flower, cut four layering circles from two coordinating colours of cardstock, using the Beautiful Shapes Dies. Stamp over the smallest three circles using one of the splodge images and matching colour ink to cardstock. This gives added texture to your flower. Layer together using Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere to your card base.

Take two green leaves and a gold vellum sprig, from the Abstract Beauty Ephemera Pack and add these to your abstract flower.

Stamp your sentiment using Night of Navy ink, onto Basic White cardstock, and cut out using one of the label dies from the Beautiful Shapes Dies. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere to your card base.

Finish your card by adding several Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Hello and welcome to this month’s Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop. For April we have a theme of Pretty In Pink. Who doesn’t love a bit of pink?

Each year I purchase the new In-colour DSP (Designer Series Paper) pack and always end up with loads leftover, after they have retired. This year I have made a conscience effort to use more and our theme this month, shouted out for Polished Pink.

Pretty In Pink

Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Thick Basic White cardstock. Cut a piece of Polished Pink In-colour DSP, measuring 10.3cm x 14.7cm and adhere to your card base. Emboss a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm, using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder and adhere to your card base. Trim a strip of Polished Pink DSP to 2cm x 14.7cm and adhere to the left of your card base.

Stamp your Hydrangea image, from Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set, using Old Olice and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Write Markers. If you have never used this technique before, colour direct to your stamp, using the side of the brush nib. Once you have colour on all over the image, huff on it to moisten all the ink and stamp as normal. Colour your leaves and stem, using the fill-in stamp and Old Olive ink. For the flowerhead, use the fill-in stamp inked with Fresh Freesia ink and, using a Dauber, add Polished Pink ink in patches. This gives a varied colour and adds texture.

Add a gold frame to your card base, from the Expressions In Ink Ephemera Pack. Die cut out your Hydrangea image using the Hydrangea Dies and add to your card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, stamp your sentiment onto Basic White cardstock and die cut out, using the label die. Add this to your card front, using Multipurpose Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finish your card by adding several Polished Pink In-colour Jewels.
