February Update!

Hello and welcome to this months update.  I cant believe we are in February already, January seemed to go by in a flash and I am not ready for it at all.

We are in full swing with the new mini catalogue and Sale-A-Bration and you seem to be loving all the new products.  Have you found your favourite, or is you wish list that big you can not decide?  Mine is still huge and I am slowly getting through it.  So what is new for February?

Coordination Product Release

Yes we have even more new products and as it says they coordinate with current products!  This makes your crafting possibilities endless.  We have five sets of dies, which coordinate with both Sale-A-Bration products and products from the new mini catalogue, and a beautiful pack of Designer Series Paper, which coordinates with four of our punches.

How do we keep doing it I hear you say, well its is an amazing team behind the scenes that make it all happen.  We are so lucky to have such a wonderful team working so hard for us all.

Theme – Sale-A-Bration

Hello and welcome to our January Blog Hop, theme Sale-A-Bration. You may have notice that we have had a change of name for our group. This is due to the working collaboration between Pip Todman and Louise Sims, SUBA (Simply Unique Business Angles), has been put on hold. They are both, seperately, concentrating on their individual businesses. We are still the same group of friends bringing you fantastic project inspiration.

This month we are showcasing some of the amazing products available, for FREE, during Sale-A-Bration.  Yes, I said FREE.  Sale-A-Bration is an annual sale, hosted by Stampin’ Up!, where you can earn free products.  All you have to do is order the products you would order anyway and for every £45/£90 spent you get to choose a product, for free, from the Sale-A-Bration broucher.

Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set

I have chosen to share the ‘Happy Birthday To You’ stamp set. This set is available FREE with a spend of £45. I just love the elegant, simplicity of the set, which includes one main image, three sentiments (Happy Birthday, To You, Celebrate) and a background image. This is perfect for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, engagements and much more. I hope you find inspiration in my makes.

For my main project I have made a ‘Congratulations’ card.  The background is made using a 10cm x 14.4cm piece of ‘Whisper White’ cardstock and ‘Gorgeous Grape’ ink.  Load a ‘Sponge Brayer’ with ink and starting off the cardstock, roll side to side starting at the bottom and working up.  This will give you an ombre effect.  Continue to do so until you are happy with the colour you have built up.  Allow to dry and rub over with an ‘Embossing Buddy’.  Load cake image stamp with ‘Versa Mark’ ink and stamp in the righthand bottom corner.  Cover with ‘White Embossing Powder’, shaking excess back into pot, melt with heat gun until all becomes shinny.  Layer onto an A6, ‘Thick Whisper White’ cardbase.  For the sentiment I used the congratulations stamp from the ‘Label Me Bold’ stamp set, embossing, in white, onto a piece of ‘Gorgeous Grape’ cardstock.  Fussy cut around the sentiment and attach to card front using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’.  Finish with a spool of ‘Silver Mettalic Thread’.

I also recreated the card using ‘So Saffron’, ‘Pear Pizzazz’, ‘Smoky Slate’ Ink and ‘Aqua Painters’ on ‘Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper’, layered onto a ‘So Saffron’ cardbase.  Finished off with ‘Wink Of Stella’.

For my second recreation I used ‘Watercolour Pencils’ and ‘Blender Pens’ on ‘Shimmery White’ cardstock, layered onto a piece of ‘Pool Party’ cardstock and a ‘Thick Whisper White’ cardbase.

I hope you are all enjoying this amazing weather we are having and making the most of it  My garden is blooming and getting lots of use.  I am finding it hard to get anything, except crafting, done as I am just too hot!  WOW!  Do I have some great things to share with you.  Stampin’ Up! are giving us some amazing offers this month, so I thought I would let you know all about them.
