Hello and welcome to this Saturdays blog post. I am so glad you could join me. Whether you have hopping along from the ‘Global Design Project‘ page or come straight here, it is fabulous to have you here. Today I am sharing with you a card I have made using the ‘Lovely You’ Bundle.

When I first saw this bundle in the new annual catalogue, I knew it was a must. I adore the font used for the sentiments, as well as the sentiments themselves. Each sentiment has a lovely, flowing, handwritten word or two. The flower images are simple, yet elegant and I have many ideas that I will be sharing with you in the future.

For my card today I am following a sketch, set by the ‘Global Design Project’. I knew straight that I wanted to combine this sketch with the ‘Lovely You Bundle’. I hope you enjoy.

Miles apart, but still in my heart.

Take an A6, 10.5cm x 14.9cm, ‘Pear Pizzazz’ card base and randomly stamp your image, using ‘Pear Pizzazz’ ink. Cut a piece of ‘Very Vanilla’ card stock, measuring 8cm x 14.cm, emboss this using the ‘Greenery’ embossing folder. Wrap gold trim, from the ‘Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack’, around three times and adhere to your card front.

Die cut a circle from ‘Pear Pizzazz’ card stock, using the ‘Stitched Shapes’ dies and adhere to your card front, using ‘Stampin’ Dimensionals’.

On a piece of ‘Very Vanilla’ card stock, stamp several of each foliage image using ‘Pretty Peacock’, ‘Garden Green’, ‘Pear Pizzazz’ and ‘Soft Seafoam’ ink. For your flower images use ‘Stampin’ Write Markers’, (‘Soft Seafoam’, ‘Flirty Flamingo’ and ‘Gorgeous Grape’) to colour your stamp, this allows you to do two colour stamping. Fussy cut your images and adhere your foliage to your card front, under your circle.

Stamp your sentiment, using ‘Memento Tuxedo Black’ ink, on a strip of ‘Very Vanilla’ card stock 3/4″ deep. Using the ‘Lovely Labels Pick A Punch’ punch, punch either end on your sentiment. Adhere to your card front, using ‘Stampin’ Dimensional’ and add your flower image, tucking them in behind. Finish with a few ‘Pearl Basic Jewels’.

Hello and welcome, I am happy you could join  me.  Today I would like to share with you a card I have made for the Global Design Project Blog Hop, #GDP241, using ‘This Little Piggy’ stamp set.

This week they have given us a colour combination challenge, using ‘Blushing Bride’, ‘Soft Sea Foam’ and Pretty Peacock’.   These colours are so light and fresh, giving a lovely spring feel to any project.  My first thought, upon seeing these colours, was floral.  I think this was due to the greens, but I wanted to push myself and try something different.  Though I end up with a bit of a compromise and using foliage in the background.

You Make Me Happy Card

For this card you will need to cut a layer of ‘Soft Sea Foam’ card stock, measuring 9.7cm x 14.1cm.  Using the splodge stamp from ‘Forever Fern’ stamp set, stamp a row to the bottom left corner in ‘Soft Sea Foam’ ink and a couple over the top in stamped off/2nd generation stamping ‘Pretty Peacock’ ink.

Using the ‘Forever Flourishing’ dies, choose two foliage dies and cut one in ‘Pretty Peacock’ and one in ‘Soft Sea Foam’ card stock.  Adhere these to the front of your card, over your splodge images.  Layer onto a piece of ‘Pretty Peacock’ card stock, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm.  Wrap white twine round twice and tie in a bow on the left hand side.

Focal Image

Stamp your little piggy image onto ‘Whisper White’ card stock, using ‘Memento Tuxedo Black’ ink.  Colour this using a sponge brayer and ‘Blushing Bride’ ink.  Start off your image, at the bottom and roll your brayer back and forth across your card, moving upwards.  This will enable you to lay down more ink at the bottom and give an ombre effect.  Fix to your card front using ‘Stampin’ Dimensional’.

Stamp your splodge image to the top right, using ‘Soft Sea Foam’ ink.  For your sentiment, stamp in ‘Blushing Bride’ ink, onto ‘Whisper White’ card stock.  Cut into a rectangle, close to the image and back using a slightly larger piece of ‘Pretty Peacock’ card stock.  Layer your card front onto a thick ‘Whisper White’ card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm.

Stampin’ Up! Pre-order

Welcome to our May Blog Hop.  This month our theme is Stampin’ Up! Pre-Order.  As an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, we get to order certain items from the upcoming new annual catalogue, before it is released, this is Stampin’ Up! Pre-Order.   If you have hopped over from Carrie at The Inky Nook, then you may already have gained lots of inspiration, I hope to offer you more.

I have chosen the ‘Share What You Love’ suite.  this is an amazing suite that uses flowers and fresh spring/summer colours, that coordinate in that wonderful Stampin’ Up! way.  I adore the delicate flowers in the Designer series Paper, (DSP), they remind me of wild flowers growing in a meadow.  I can picture it now, lying in the tall grass with the hills behind.  Bees humming and birds singing, on a warm spring day, with the sun high in the sky.  Oh someone take me there  now!

The suite has two stamp sets, ‘Love What You Do’ and ‘Make A Difference’.  ‘Love What You Do’ has a  wonderful watercolour image, four beautiful sentiments and several delicate flowers.  These make gorgeous focal points as well as marvellous backgrounds.  ‘Make A Difference’ has three full alphabets, in upper and lower case, and all the punctuation you could wish for.  Plus # tags galore!  Just perfect for adding that personal touch.

To complement these stamp sets perfectly, there is also an embossing folder, artisan pearls, velvet ribbon, pearlized dollies, an embellishment kit and the DSP.  Everything you could want to make wonderful cards and gifts.  I have made many projects with this suite and I have chosen three to share with you today.  These would make a beautiful gift for anyone.

For the card use an A6 ‘Grapefruit Grove’ card base, stamp small flowers along top and bottom in ‘Grapefruit Grove’ ink.  I love tone on tone.  Cut a layer of ‘Mint Macaron’ card stock and a slightly smaller piece of DSP, adhere together and wrap bakers twine (from the embellishment kit) around twice.  Adhere to your card base, in the middle.  Punch out a ‘Whisper White’ circle and a slightly larger ‘Grapefruit Grove’ circle.  Stamp your chosen sentiment and small flower image onto ‘Whisper White’ circle and adhere to ‘Grapefruit Grove’ circle.  Using ‘Dimensionals’ place in the centre of your card.  Finish with a pearl, placed in centre of flower.

I made a ‘milk carton’ gift box and decorated a note book to complete my set, using matching DSP.  I think this set looks fantastic and I’m sure whoever receives it will be very happy!

This suite is available to you on early release, until the 31st May.  There are three bundles available; ‘Just Getting Started’, ‘A Little Bit More’ and ‘Gotta Have It All’.  Something for everyone and every budget.  Each bundle comes with  at least one FREE item.
