Welcome to March’s Build & Bloom Blog Hop. This month, our theme is Springtime and boy am I ready for that! I do beleive that Spring is my favourite time of the year. It gives me that boost after the winter and I feel ready to push forward. I know I have been very inconsistant, and I appologise, but this have settled and I am in a better place and enjoying crafting again.

The card I have chosen to share today, is a Simple Pop Up box card, using the Easter Joy Suite from the Jan – Apr 2026 Stampin’ Up!® mini catalogue. This suite is adorable and I have had great fun using it as my Product Spotlight this month, over on my social media.

How to create a simple pop up box card.

Cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock, measuring 21cm x 14.9cm. Score, with the long edge at the top, at 5cm, 10cm, 15cm, and 20cm. This will leave a 1cm panel for your glue flap.

Turn your card 90 degrees to the right, short edge to the top, and score at 8.4cm down to the third score line. Cut along all four score lines, to your 8.4cm score line. Your will have to measure and mark the last one. Trim away top and bottom of glue flap. (see diagram below.)

Fold and burnish score lines. Add adhesive to glue flap and fold card to create your simple pop up box card.

Cut four cross bars from Crumb Cake card stock, measuring 6cm x 2cm, and score on the long side at 0.5cm and 5.5cm. Glue into the top of your pop up box card, from back to front, lining each one up to the one behind. These will be what you attach your decoration to.

Cut three pieces of Pretty In Pink DSP (designer series paper) from the Pleasant Patterns SDSP, measuring 4.7cm x 8.1cm. Adhere to the lower panels of your card, front, left, and right.

Using the Crumb Cake basket weave design DSP from the Easter Joy SDSP, cut three pieces meausring 4.7cm x 6.2cm and one 4.7cm x 14.6cm. Adhere to your three flaps and the inside back of your pop up box card.

Stamp a larger bunny image onto Basic White card stock, using Smoky Slate ink. Add Light Petal Pink Blend to nose and insde of ear. Using Light Smoky Slate Bland, add shading and soften with the Color Lifter Blend.

Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, onto Basic White card stock, stamp one small bunny, one carrot, two chicks, two flower clusters, three single flowers, five eggs, and a sentiment. Colour your images using Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Lemon Lolly, Peach Pie, Pretty In Pink, and Shy Shamrock Blends combos. Die-cut using the the cordinating dies and fussy cut sentiment.

Die-cut four lots of grass from Shy Shamrock card stock, three scolloped banners from Pretty Ink Pink, three flower stems from Shy Shamrock, three flowers from Lemon Lolly, and three from Peach Pie. Assemble the flowers using the Peach Pie centre and Lemon Lolly base.

Adhere your grass die-cut to the front of your cross bars and adhere your flowers, chick, and eggs to the rear. I found it easir to use mini glue dots for this. Use a mix of mini glue dots and dimensionals to adhere images and sentiment to your flaps.

To finish your card add a small bow made from Balmy Blue Gingham Ribbon. Your Simple Pop Up Box card will fold flat and fit into a standard C6 envelope.

Happy New Year and welcome to the Stamptastic Friends January Blog Hop! This month we are all about Thanks and Gratitude. We can all name a reason that we can send a card to say Thank You or to show our gratitude. This is one thing I fail at often, and this year I am going to improve on this massively.

On my social media, you may have seen that I am using the Love Notes 6×6 DSP as my product spotlight for this month, and I wanted this project to keep with that. I also wanted to use the papers differently, so I have paired it with the Swirled Designs Bundle and chose Lemon Lime Twist & Balmy Blue to pair with the Azure Afternoon DSP.

How to create an Emboss Resist background

Cut a layer of Basic White cardstock measuring 10cm x 14.4cm. Rub over with an Embossing Buddy, this will remove any static or grease and stop your embossing powder sticking where you don’t want it. Using Versamark ink, randomly stamp the star cluster image over your layer. Sprinkle all over with white embossing powder and shake off excess. Use a heat tool to melt all the embossing powder.

Once your embossing is cooled and set, use a blending brush and Lemon Lime Twist ink and add colour over your layer. Start from the edges and move into the centre, turning your layer as you go. Keep going until you are happy with the coverage, I kept mine very soft towards the centre. When happy, use a tissue or soft cloth to remove ink from your embossed images. This is the ’emboss resist’ technique complete.

Trim a piece of Azure Afternoon DSP to 5.5cm x 8.5cm and cut to a pennant at one end. Adhere to the top right of your layer. Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Balmy Blue cardstock. Adhere your layer to your card base.

Die-cut three large stars from Azure Afternoon, Balmy Blue, and Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. Layer these onto your card front and adhere into place. I added the centre cut-out to my Lemon Lime Twist star, this allowed it to standout better and gave a better base for my other star.

Stamp your sentiment using Azure Afternoon ink onto Basic White cardstock. Punch, die-cut or trim to size and add to your card using Dimensionals. I have used ‘Thank You’ from Simply Said stamp set and punched out using the Three Banner Punch. Finish your card with several silver Faceted Snowflakes.

Happy New Year! I do hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We had a very quiet, relaxing time at home, and I am looking forward to getting back into things.

Welcome to January’s Build & Bloom Blog Hop. This month, our theme is Love & Friendship, totally fitting with upcoming Valentine’s Day and my monthly Product Spotlight. Each month I will be using a chosen product, a bundle, suite or a single item, to create with and share with you many different ideas and projects. I have chosen the Love Notes 6×6 DSP for January, and I am loving how easy it is to use.

The card I have chosen to share today, is a Fun Fold card I created at the recent Build & Bloom Craft and Chat event. We have a mystery stamping segment, where we are given measurements of card and paper to pre-cut. During the event, we are then told how to score and put the pieces together. It is a great way to see how different a card can look by using different coloured card and papers.

How to create a simple fun fold card.

Cut a piece of thick Basic White card stock, measuring 28.5cm x 14.9cm. Score each end at 3cm, 6cm, and 9cm. Fold and burnish your score line into valley, mountain, valley, valley, mountain, and valley. This will give you three panels either side of a larger centre panel.

Using two coordinating designs of DSP, cut eight strips measuring 2.7cm x 14.6cm. Adhere strips to your six panels. The remaining two strips will be adhered to the outer two panels on the reverse.

Trim another piece of thick Basic White card stock, measuring 29cm x 10cm, and score at 14.5cm. This will give you a tent fold card. Adhere a DSP panel to the front, measuring 9.5cm x 14cm.

I chose a sentiment from one of the cut-a-parts within the DSP pack and trimmed to size, you could also stamp a sentiment of your choice. Adhere your sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Add a small Real Red & White Baker’s Twine bow, using a mini glue dot and several Rhinestone Basic Jewels around your sentiment. Adhere your tent fold card to your large centre panel.

Finish your card by adding a small cut-a-part image, from the DSP, to the inside of your tent fold.

Welcome to the Stamptastic Friends November Blog Hop! This month we are all about Squares, square cards, square images, square patterns. Whatever way you want to use squares to create a project. When I first sat down to create my project I felt a bit lost. I could not think what I could do that involved squares other than a patchwork of DSP (designer series paper) and although this can be beautiful, it was not what I wanted. I turned to Pinterest for help and found lots of ideas and inspiration.

I finally chose to use the Gift Of Joy stamp set and create small squares which sat behind a simple stamped image. My next dilemma was how to create the squares. Cue Hayden and his suggestion to use the acrylic blocks to stamp the background. That was decision made.

How to use acrylic blocks to stamp a square background.

I used the Stampin’ Up!® A & B Acrylic Blocks, (I have relalised whilst writing this that we no longer stock the A Block, sorry but I am sure many of you have these or similar), and Real Red & Shaded Spruce Dark Stampin’ Blends. I know the blocks are not exactly square but I am using my artistic licence. lol.

Cut a layer of Basic White cardstock measuring 10cm x 14.4cm. Colour your larger block with your chosen colour and spritz with rubbing alcohol. Stamp down onto your layer to the left centre. Clean your block and repeat with your second colour, stamping to the bottom right.

Using your smaller block, repeat with two of each colour. Do not worry about getting these lined up or equal distances apart. It looks better if they are not perfect.

Once dry, stamp your chosen images into each square using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. For the sentiment I used one from the Greeting For All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack, but you could easily heat emboss your own and fussy cut, and adhered using dimensionals.

Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Shaded Spruce cardstock. Adhere your stamped layer onto your card base. For that bit of Christmas sparkle, add several gold Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments.

Welcome to November’s Build & Bloom Blog Hop. This month our theme is Celebrate. There are some many things to celebrate; Christmas, Birthday, passing an exam, new job, the list goes on. I wanted to celebrate Family! Family is, for the most of us, the most important thing we have. Family can be whom ever you choose and I have a few; my actual family, my Stampin’ family and my support family. For this project I am choosing my actual family and will be using the spread for our Christmas photos.

Celebrate Family Double Page Spread

I will share here how I created the ‘Celebration’ page as I have a video creating the ‘Family’ page on a recent Facebook Live. I will add the video below.

On 12″ x 12″ Basic White cardstock, randomly stamp the large floral image from the Christmas Greenery stamp set using Secret Sea ink. Ensure that some of your images go over the edge of your page and that you rotate your stamp for a more random look. Using the two small flower infill stamps and Bubble Bath ink, add colour to your images. I used 2nd generation/stamped off stamping for a more subtle look.

Cut a strip of Secret Sea Two-Tone cardstock measuring 12″ x 1″, Gold Foil measuring 12″ x 1/4″, and Old Olive check DSP measuring 12″ x 2″. Adhere these, in order, to the bottom of your page. I have left approximately 1″ gap.

Using Secret Sea cardstock cut three squares measuring; 3 1/4″, 3 1/2″, and 4 1/2″. Cut three squares measuring 3″, 3 1/4″, and 4 1/4″ from a piece of floral DSP. Adhere DSP squares to Secret Sea squares and onto page, I used dimensionals. Cut three Basic White squares measuring 2 3/4″, 3″, and 4″. Adhere the smallest and largest to the DSP squares.

On the middle Basic White square, using the Our Story stamp set, stamp ‘the best memories are created with’ using Secret Sea ink and ‘family’ using Red Red ink. I have also used this stamp set for the foliage and berries, using Old Olive and Real Red inks. Once dry adhere to your DSP square.

Stamp the large floral image onto Basic White, using Secret Sea ink. Using the corresponding infill stamps, add Cherry Cobbler ink to the main flower, Bubble Bath to the small flowers, Old Olive to the pines/firs, and 2nd generation/stamped off Old Olive to the leaves. Die-cut and add to your page using dimensionals.

Trim a piece of Real Red cardstock to approximately 7″ x 2″ and add adhesive sheet to the rear. Use the Alphabet A La Mode dies to die-cut ‘Celebration’ and adhere to page.

Finish you page by adding gold and green Traditional Sparkling Sequins and Wink of Stella on your Cherry Cobbler Flower.

Hello, it’s time for the Stamptastic Friends September Blog Hop and this month we are going full on Autumn. Our weather has certainly changed, leaving the summer behind and giving a huge welcome to Autumn. I have to say that, other than all the rain we have been having, I much prefere this time of year. The Garden is still blooming with colour and the temprature is much more to my liking.

I have chosen to use the Branching Out Bundle and create a fun autumn background using alcohol markers. The Branching Out Bundle is a beautiful bundle and suitable for all year round crafting. The stamp set contains a variety of sentiment for many occasions, as well as some gorgeous branch and fern images. I have enjoyed playing with this bundle and created many cards, all of which are very different in style.

How to create an autumn background.

Using a selection of autumn colours, I have used Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Pecan Pie, and Pumpkin Pie dark Stampin’ Blends, add colour to a large acrylic block. I used the E block, but it will depend on how large you need your background to be. Add rubbing alcohol to a Stampin’ Spritzer and spray onto your coloured block until you are happy with the bleed/mix of colours.

Either lay a piece of Basic White cardstock on top of your block or stamp the block onto your Basic White. If you choose to stamp onto your Basic White your colours will run futher as you turn your block over. Allow your card/block to sit for a few seconds before removing, this will allow the colour to soak into your card. Remove and allow to dry.

Once your autumn background is dry add splatters of the same colours for added texture. Die-cut a panel using the second largest frame die from the bundle. Adhere this to a larger frame die-cut from gold foil. Create an A6 cardbase, measuring 14.9cm x 10.5cm, using Cherry Cobler cardstock. Adhere your fames using Stampin Dimensionals.

Die-cut two fern sprigs from Shadded Spruce cardstock and using a blending brush, lightly add ink to create variation and dimension. Repeat with small berry sprig and Pecan Pie. Die-cut three pinecones from Early Espresso and a long berry twig from Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Use an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker to colour the twig, leaving the berries Cherry Cobbler.

Layering your foliage, adhere to your autumn background frame. Heat emboss your sentiment on Cherry Cobbler cardstock, using gold WOW powder. Trim to required size and add to your card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finish your card by adding a Linen Thread bow and several Pecan Pie Neutral Matte Dots.

Welcome to Septembers Build & Bloom Blog Hop. This month our theme is Embossing. There are two main types of embossing; Heat Embossing where you stamp an image/sentiment with sticky ink and cover with embossing powder, and heat to melt the powder. This gives a shinny raised result. Dry Embossing using a embossing folder to press a design into cardstock. This is usually done by inserting cardstock into a plastic folder and running through a machine.

I want to highlight dry embossing and how stunning the designs can be. I am currently in love with the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder. Its delicate design is perfect for backgrounds and layering onto.

Embossed Background ThanksCard

Create an A6 cardbase, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Pool Party cardstock. Cut a piece of Pool Party cardstock measuring 10cm x 14.4cm and emboss with the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder. Adhere to the front on your cardbase.

Fussy cut a section of flowers from the Floral Impression DSP, (designer series paper), big enough to be the main image on your card but not overpower your embossing. Adhere flat to your card front. Select a variety of extra flowers and fussy cut.

Stamp your sentiment onto Fresh Freesia cardstock, using Misty Moonlight ink. Trim to suit and adhere to your card front using Dimensionals. Adhere your single flowers around your sentiment using a mixture of Dimensionals and multi purpose adhesive.

Finish your card by adding several Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots, in Pool Party and Fresh Freesia.

Welcome to our August Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop. This months theme is Punches and we all have a punch or two right? I was shocked at how few punches I actually have. Five, can you believe I only have five punches? Well it is true, so when its cam to creating for this I didn’t have a massive choice.

I decided to use the Bee Builder Punch, which coordinates with the Bee My Valentine Stamp Set. This is an oldie but a goodie and is fabulous, not only for creating a bee but also for hearts and a speech bubble. I love the simple bold images and the mix of fonts. The assortment of face stamps make the bee so darling and cute.

How to create a beautiful card with a punch.

Trim a piece of Basic White cardstock to 10cm x 14.4cm and using hunnycomb stamp and Daffodil Delight ink, stamp arrange the edge. Ensure you trun your stamp to give a random edge. Colour random selctions using a Daffodil Delight watercolor pencil and a blender pen. Add wink of stella over your coloured sections and allow to dry.

Wrap Real Red & white bakers twine several times around the middle of your cardfront and tie with a bow to the left hand side. Adhere to a piece of Basic Black cardstock measuring 10.2cm x 14.6cm. Create an A6 cardbase, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Daffodil Delight cardstock.

On Basic White cardstock, stamp two bees using Daffodil Delight and memento ink, and four wings using first and second generation Pool Party ink. Once dry, punch out each element. Add wink of stella to your wings and allow to dry, before adding them to your bees. I folded my one wing to allow it to flap and give dimension.

Heat emboss your sentiment onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock, measuring 7cm x 2.5cm, using versamark ink and white embossing powder. Using the Happy Labels Pick A Punch, edge your sentiment. Adhere over your bakers twine using dimensionals.

Arrange your bees onto your cardfront and adhere using wet glue and dimensioals. Punch out three small hearts from the Bee Builder Punch, using Real Red cardstock.

Finish your card by adding several Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Hello and welcome to Septembers Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop. This month we have Nature as our theme and there is so much choice on what I could use. When I think of Nature I think insects, flowers and trees, so I have incorporated all of these into my card.

The Spring Celebrations and Washes & Florals Tags Mix & Match Ephemera Packs scream Nature, making them perfect for this project. The tags pack contains eight styles of tags, with two being floral or wood grain. Whilst the Spring Celebrations pack contains butterflies, foliage, braches, birds, and sentiments. Both of these pack are currently on offer in the Last Chance Products at £2.70 & £3.37 making them an even better buy.

Thank You Nature Card

Create an A6 cardbase, measuring 14.9cm x 10.5cm, using Old Olive cardstock. Cut a piece of Thoughtful Journey DSP (designer series paper) measuring 14.9cm x 7.5cm and adhere to a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock, measuring 14.9cm x 7.7cm, to show a small border top and bottom. Adhere to your cardbase with equal space top and bottom.

Using a blending brush, add a light blend of Old Olive ink to the edges of a floral tag from the Washes & Florals Tags Mix & Match Ephemera Pack. Add a bow using Linen Thread.

Layer up elements from the the Spring Celebrations Mix & Match Ephemera Pack with your tag, onto the front of your card. I used a wood grain wreath, wood grain thank you banner, two foliage, and a butterfly with a mixture of wet glue and dimensionals.

Finish your card by adding several Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Hello, it is time for our July Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop. I am sorry I missed last month but things got a bit hectic. This month we have Friendship as our theme, and I do enjoy creating cards for those special people in our lives. They deserve a card with that little bit extra and for that reason I have chosen to create a Shadow Box card.

This card gives a wow factor while being easy to prepare and construct. The extra dimension allows you to go to town on decoration, layering up elements and creating lots of dimension, if you wish. I have kept it simple for this one and only added decoration to the front panel. I have used elements from the Floral Impressions Suite.

How to create an Easy Shadow Box card

Cut two pieces of thick Basic White cardstock, measuring 14.8cm x 10.5cm. Score on the 14.8cm side (landscape) at 1cm and 2cm. Flip 180 degrees and score again at 1cm and 2cm. Repeat on both pieces of cardstock. Fold and burnish score lines.

Trim a piece of Pool Party cicled DSP (designer series paper) to 10cm x 10cm and adhere to the centre panel one of your scored cardstock pieces. This will be the inside back of your shadow box card. Die-cut a circle from the centre panel of your second scored Basic White piece. I used the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies and went slightly off centre to allow for decoration.

Add adhesive to outside panels of one scored cardstock piece and adhere other piece on top. Ensure they are lined up correctly and that you have the DSP on the inside. This completes the conscution of your shadow box card.

Now on to the fun bit, decorating !

Using a mix of Darling Duckling, Garden Green, Misty Moonlight, Peach Pie, Pool Party, and Strawberry Slush cardstock, die-cut an assortment of flowers and foliage. Arrange to cardfront and adhere using a mix of Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots.

Stamp ‘For Being There’ onto cardfront with Garden Green Ink. Also using Garden Green ink, stamp ‘Thanks’ onto basic white cardstock and fussy cut around. Add in the centre of back panel using Stampin Dimensionals.

Finish your shadow box card by adding Strawberry Slush & Pretty In Pink Gems.
