Friends of SUBA April Blog Hop – 2019 Onstage
Hello and welcome to our April Blog Hop. This month we bring you Onstage. Onstage is a twice yearly event for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. We get together to learn about and craft with new products, how to improve our business and see the upcoming catalogue. It is an amazing event where I get to see many of the wonderful friends I have made through Stampin’ Up!
If this is your first visit to my blog you may be wondering what SUBA is and stands for. SUBA – ‘Simply Unique Business Angels’, technology training for entrepreneurs. Friends of SUBA is a group of SU demonstrators who attending a training weekend, held by SUBA, and formed a blog hop group. We look to inspire you with our creations.
Whether you have hopped over from Ginny @celebratethejourney or joined straight with me, I am so glad you could join us. I am sure you will find plenty of inspiration as you hop along. Our Onstage theme means that we are sharing with you the swap we made for each other, for the event. Swaps are an amazing part of Onstage as it gets you mingling with others and gives you lots of ideas for future projects.
This Little Piggy
I chose to use ‘This Littler Piggy’ stamp set for two reasons; it is carrying over into the new annual catalogue (contact me to request your copy) and it is such a cute set. It comprises of four beautiful images and corresponding sentiments. My favourite being the one I chose to use on my swap card, ‘She Believed She Could….’ showing a flying piggy, the corresponding sentiment reads ‘So She Did’.
To recreate this card you will need an A6 cardbase in ‘Smoky Slate’, use ‘Smoky Slate’ ink to stamp the cloud image at random onto the front of the cardbase. Stamp your piggy image onto ‘Whisper White’ card stock, using ‘Jet Black’ Stazon ink. Die cut using the ‘Stitched Shapes Framelits’. Colour your piggy with ‘Blushing Bride’ ink and an ‘Aqua Painter’. Cut a 1cm strip of Sparkle ‘Glimmer Paper’, fish tail each end and adhere flat to your cardbase. Using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’ adhere your piggy to your cardbase. Add ‘Wink Of Stella’ to the wings for the finishing touch.
I hope you found some inspiration here and I am sure that as you hop along you will find much more! A list of all participants can be found below or click on the next button to join Sandra @stampnstudio.
