Bird Ballard Suite

I have chosen to share with you the Bird Ballard Suite.  I love the soft vintage feel of this suite, as well as the birds and floral images.  I beleive it lends its self to so many occasions and projects.  The projects i have created for you were so much fun to make and the simplcitiy of Stampin’ Up!s colour coordination makes them so easy.

My first creation is the box frame sampler, pictured above.  I really enjoy making these as they show of so many of the product available within the suite.  The layout was one I had seen on pinterest by a fellow SU demonstrator, unfortunatley I never noted down their name (sorry).  The Basic Grey mat on all the pieces really makes them pop and standout from the white background.  The first square is a piece of DSP (Designer Series Paper), with Linen Twine wrapped around, tied into a bow and finished with a Bird Ballard Trinket.  I stamped the large bird image from the stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Using coordinating colour Blends I coloured the image.  The vertical rectangle and the middle square are also pieces of DSP.  I stamped my own background, using smaller images from the stamp set and added a bird image, cut from DSP, for the middle right square.  The bottom middle square is a stamped bird image from the stamp set and coloured using Blends.  The final square is a center cut from one of the cards out the Bird Ballard Laser-cut Cards and Tin, coloured with Blends.  To make the topper I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and die cut it out using one of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.  To finish I added another of the Bird Ballard Trinkets.

I first made a similar project to this wall hanging at a craft retreat held by my upline, Louise Sims @stampindelight and Joanne James @thecraftyowl.  I was reminded of this when i saw this suite.  All the flowers are fussy cut from DSP.

The album is created using envelopes, I found the tutorial on Youtube by HanCrafted Creations.  It is clear and easy to follow.  This is the second time I have used it and added pocket with pull out tabs.

I have also created several cards.  Once I started I just wanted to carry on.
