Stamptastic Friends March 2020 Blog Hop

Theme – Easter

Hello and welcome to this months Blog Hop, where we are bringing you Easter inspiration.  March has come around so fast and with it it brings Spring and the run up to Easter.  Here is the UK Easter is not as big as in the US, though we are growing the holiday celebrations slowly.  I love the pastel colours that are associated with Spring and Easter, giving me the feeling of all things new and fresh, the celebration of new life and new beginnings.

I have chosen to share with you ‘Welcome Easter’ stamp set from the new mini catalogue.  This stamp set was first on my wish list, I just love sheep, many of you many know or may have noticed in my posts, I include a sheep in all my photographs.  They are so cute and cuddly, so this stamp set was a must.  I hope you enjoy the projects I have made.

welcome easter shaker card

I decided I wanted to make a shaker card for the first time, I did not realise how simple they are.  To recreate this card you will need a ‘Pear Pizzazz’ A6 Card base, cut a 6.5cm circle from the front, using the ‘Layering circles dies’.  Stamp the grass image, in ‘Pear Pizzazz’ ink, randomly below the circle cut out.  Cut a piece of ‘Window sheet’, 8cm x 8cm, and adhere to the back of the card front, covering the cut out.

Using the flower image, stamp randomly on to a piece of ‘Whisper White’ card stock measuring 10cm x 14.4cm, using ‘Memento Tuxedo Black’ ink and colour using the ‘In colour Stampin’ Write Markers’.  Place ‘Foam Adhesive Strips’ around the circle cut out on the inside of the card.  Place a number ‘Woven Threads Sequin Assortment’ inside the ‘Foam Adhesive Strips’ and adhere the stamped piece of ‘Whisper White’ on top.

Take a piece of ‘Rococo Rose’ card stock and using the ‘Layering Circle Dies’ cut out a scalloped circle larger than the 6.5cm whole cut into the card front.  Using the same 6.5cm circle die, cut out the middle of the scolloped circle to create a frame.  Ahere to the card front, framing the cut out.

Stamp the rabbit onto a piece of ‘Smokey Slate’ card stock, using ‘Smokey Slate’ ink and fussy cut.  Use ‘Watercolour Pencils’ to add detail and blend using a ‘Blender Pen’.  Adhere to the card front using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’.  Add a sentiment and finish with a bee stamped in memento, also coloued using watercolour pencils.
