STAMPTASTIC FRIENDS APRIL BLOG HOP
THEME – COLOUR COMBO
Hello and welcome to this months blog hop. Our theme this month is ‘Colour Combo’. We have not been set a particular ‘Colour Combo’, but told to choose our favourite three colours. With all the fantastic colours we have on offer, choosing my favourite three is totally impossible. Therefore, I have decided to go with the classic ‘Colour Combo’ of Red, White and Blue. To be precise Lovely Lipstick, Whisper White and Pacific Point.
This choice is not a total accident but a considered decision. I am taking part in #30DAYCARDMAKINGCHALLENGE and day 2 is this colour combo, so I thought I would kill two birds with one stone and make one project to use for both. There are no other stipulation other than the colours and my vision.
After much thought I have decided to use the ‘Breathtaking Bouquet’ Stamp Set and as the colours are extremely bright I will be doing a watercolour wash.
Take a piece of ‘Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper’ and rub over with your ‘Embossing Buddy, to remove any static. Ink up your stamp with ‘Versamark’ and stamp onto your ‘Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper’. Cover with ‘White Stampin’ Emboss Powder’, shake off the excess and using your ‘Heat Tool’ melt all of the ‘Stampin Emboss Powder’.
Take a ‘Clear Block’ and press onto your ‘Lovely Lipstick’ ink pad, you can then use this as a pallet. With an ‘Aqua painter’ add a little water and pick up colour. Lightly start to paint your image, add more colour slowly until you are happy. Repeat using the ‘Pacific Point’ ink pad. Once you are happy with the colour, allow to dry then, fussy cut the image to the desired size and shape.
Die cut a piece of ‘Whisper White’ cardstock, using the largest of the frames from the ‘Ornate Layers Dies’. Adhere to the front of an A6 cardbase, made from ‘Thick Whisper White’ card stock. Place ‘Dimensionals’ onto the rear of your painted image and adhere onto front of cardbase.
Cut a birthday from the ‘Well Written Dies’ in ‘Whisper White’ and ‘Lovely Lipstick’. Shadow these by gluing the ‘Lovely Lipstick’ birthday to the back of the ‘Whisper White’ birthday and slightly offset. Glue to the front of your card. Stamp a happy from the ‘Label Me Bold’ stamp set in ‘Pacific Point’ ink, for this I used the Happy Birthday stamp and cut down. Attach a small bow to the reverse, using ‘Pacific Point’ twine from the ‘Follow Your Art Embellishment Kit’ and adhere to your card.
To finish add three ‘Rhinestone Basic Jewels’ randomly to the front.
All products used are listed below and available in my online shop.
