Theme – Masculine Makes

Hello and welcome to this months Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop.  Our theme for this month is ‘Masculine Makes’.  Now I have to admit that I do not enjoy making masculine cards, I find them really hard.  Most men do not want to receive a card with lots of pretty flowers and bows, but being the ‘car’ girl that I am I knew straight away that I wanted to use the ‘Ride With Me’ stamp set and coordinating ‘Truck Ride Dies’.

I will be very sad when this set retires June 2nd 2020, with the annual catalogue.  If this is a set your just can not do without then hope on over to my online shop before they sell out.

Happy Birthday Card

For this card you will need a piece of ‘Whisper White’ card stock that measures 9.7cm x 14.1cm.  Stamp your truck image in the bottom left corner and a set of balloons in the rear of your truck, using ‘Memento Tuxedo Black’ ink.   Colour your truck using ‘Stampin’ Blends’, I used ‘Basic Black’, ‘Smokey Slate’ and ‘Balmy Blue’ light and dark.  For the ground I used ‘Gray Granite’ light and dark.  Add light ‘Pool Party’ around your truck and in the window.

Stamp and die cut two further sets of balloons and colour these also with ‘Stampin’ Blends’, I used ‘Pool Party’, ‘Bermuda Bay’ and ‘Highland Heather’ light and dark.  To add extra highlights I used the ‘Stampin’ Blends Colour Lifter’ to bleach out the colour.  Adhere your extra balloons to the back of your truck using ‘Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive’ and ‘Stampin’ Dimensionals’.

Using the ‘Well Written Dies’ cut ‘Happy’ once in ‘Pool Party’ card stock and once in ‘Bermuda Bay’ card stock.  Adhere these together slightly off, so that you get a shadow effect.  Adhere to your card front with ‘Tombow Multipurpose Glue’.  Stamp a ‘Birthday’ from the ‘Well Said’ stamp set, using ‘Highland Heather’ ink and punch out with the ‘Classic Label’ punch.  Trim off the right edge and adhere to card front using ‘Stampin’ Dimensionals’.

Layer your card front onto a piece of ‘Bermuda Bay’ card stock measuring 10cm x 14.4cm and layer onto an A6 thick ‘Whipser White’ card base measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm.  Finish with a few sequins from the ‘Woven Threads Sequins Assortment.
