Hello and welcome my blog. Today I would like to share with you a project I have made for the Global Design Project #GDP266. This weeks theme is a Card Sketch.
For this challenge I wanted to use the ‘Zany Zebras’ stamp set and felt that combining the ‘Playing with Patterns’ Designer Series Paper (DSP) would make a fun card, because of the wonderful patterns and colours.
Zany Zebras Playing with Patterns #GDP266
Cut an A6 cardbase, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, from ‘Coastal Cabana’ cardstock and using the starburst image, from ‘Pattern Play’ stamp set, stamp randomly over the front over your cardbase in ‘Coastal Cabana’ ink. This gives a wonderful tone on tone background.
Choose two coordinating pieces of ‘Playing with Patterns’ DSP. Trim one measuring 9.5cm x 8.5cm and adhere in the middle of your card front. The second piece trim to 7cm x 12 cm and adhere on top of your first, using ‘Multipurpose Glue’.
Stamp your ‘Zany Zebra’ onto a piece of ‘Whisper White’ cardstock, using black ink. Cut this out using the second largest of the ‘Stitched Nested Labels Dies’, but ensure you position your Zany Zebra to the right hand side. Trim off the left hand side to give a straight edge and adhere to your card front using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’.
Stamp your greeting, using black ink, onto a scrap of ‘Calypso Coral’ cardstock and punch out using the ‘Classic Label’ punch. Add a ‘Stampin Dimensional’ to the right hand side and ‘Multipurpose Glue’ to the left, placing this to the right hand side of your card. Finish your card by adding an odd number of ‘Playing with Patterns Resin Dots’.
