Hello and welcome to Novembers Stamptastic Friends blog hop. This month we are bringing you all things Nature. Whether you found me direct or hopped over from a fellow demonstrator, I am so glad you have joined me.
When I first saw that our theme this month was Nature, I initially thought of animals and was worried about what stamp set I had that I could use. Then I started thinking of colours and came up with soft natural colours, like ‘Crumb Cake’, ‘Sahara Sand’ and ‘Old Olive’. From there I was drawn to the ‘Garden Wishes’ stamp set and what followed is shown below.
My Back to Nature Card
Create an A6 card base from ‘Sahara Sand’ cardstock, measuring 14.9cm x 10.5cm. Cut a front layer from ‘Very Vanilla’ cardstock, measuring 14.4cm x 10cm. Using ‘Sahara Sand’ ink and a ‘Blending Brush’, create a shadow on your card front. Add a bee trail to upper right hand side, using the die from the ‘Dandy Wishes’ Dies. Age your card front by running a blade/snips around the edges and rolling two corners. Wrap a piece of ‘Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon’ and ‘Linen Thread’ around your card front and fix into place. Adhere your card front to your card base.
Stamp your Dandelion image onto ‘Very Vanilla’ cardstock, using ‘Sahara Sand’ ink. Add colour to your image using ‘Bumblebee’, ‘Sahara Sand’ and ‘Soft Succulent’ ink, with either a ‘Water Painter’ or ‘Blender Pen’. Die cut using the coordinating die and adhere to your card front using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’. Stamp and colour a bee using the same techniques and place at the left hand side of your bee trail, using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’.
Create grass strands using ‘Soft Succulent’ card stock and the grass die. Cut apart as required and adhere behind your Dandelion image using ‘Multipurpose Glue’. Stamp your sentiment onto ‘Very Vanilla’ cardstock, using ‘Sahara Sand’ ink and fussy cut out. Adhere this to your card front using a mix of ‘Stampin Dimensionals’ and ‘Multipurpose Glue’.
Tie a bow with ‘Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon’ and ‘Linen Thread’ together and adhere using ‘Mini Glue Dots’. To finish your card add ‘Pearl Basic Jewels’ around your image.
