Hello and welcome to this month’s Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop. For April we have a theme of Pretty In Pink. Who doesn’t love a bit of pink?

Each year I purchase the new In-colour DSP (Designer Series Paper) pack and always end up with loads leftover, after they have retired. This year I have made a conscience effort to use more and our theme this month, shouted out for Polished Pink.

Pretty In Pink

Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Thick Basic White cardstock. Cut a piece of Polished Pink In-colour DSP, measuring 10.3cm x 14.7cm and adhere to your card base. Emboss a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm, using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder and adhere to your card base. Trim a strip of Polished Pink DSP to 2cm x 14.7cm and adhere to the left of your card base.

Stamp your Hydrangea image, from Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set, using Old Olice and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Write Markers. If you have never used this technique before, colour direct to your stamp, using the side of the brush nib. Once you have colour on all over the image, huff on it to moisten all the ink and stamp as normal. Colour your leaves and stem, using the fill-in stamp and Old Olive ink. For the flowerhead, use the fill-in stamp inked with Fresh Freesia ink and, using a Dauber, add Polished Pink ink in patches. This gives a varied colour and adds texture.

Add a gold frame to your card base, from the Expressions In Ink Ephemera Pack. Die cut out your Hydrangea image using the Hydrangea Dies and add to your card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, stamp your sentiment onto Basic White cardstock and die cut out, using the label die. Add this to your card front, using Multipurpose Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finish your card by adding several Polished Pink In-colour Jewels.
