Hello, thank you for stopping by and allowing me to inspire you to get creative! Today I would like to share with you how I created this Simple Halloween card, for the Global Design Project #GDP363. This week we have a theme challenge.

I’m not a huge Halloween crafter and do not buy supplies solely for Halloween. This card is created using the Cottage Wreaths Bundle and Gingham Cottage DSP (Designer Series Paper).

Simple Halloween Card

Cut a piece of Pumpkin Pie DSP, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm. Using Basic Gray ink and a Blending Brush, add ink around the edges getting lighter towards the center. Repeat with a little Memento Tuxedo Black ink, to the edges for added depth. Add splatters, for added texture, by flicking the brush nib of a Basic Black Blend/Write Marker from the cap.

Trim a piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock to 10.3cm x 14.7cm and mat behind your blended DSP. Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Basic Black cardstock and adhere your mat to the front.

Stamp your twig wreath onto Basic Black cardstock, using Versamark ink. Cover with white Stampin’ Emboss Powder, shake off excess and heat until melted. Die cut using the coordinating die. Adhere to your card front, using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp your spider image, under your wreath, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and draw a Basic Black line connecting your wreath and spider.

Stamp your sentiment onto Pumpkin Pie cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut using the small banner from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Tie a bow from black Baker’s Twine and adhere to the of your sentiment, using Mini Glue Dots and adhere to your wreath.

To finish your card, add several Gorgeous Grape Glossy Dots to your wreath. For an extra bit of sparkle, add Wink Of Stella to your spider.
