Hello and welcome to Januarys Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop. This month we have the theme – Something New. New products, new baby, new home, in fact anything new goes. A theme allows you to interpret it as you wish, this gives us lots of variation for inspiration.

I have chosen to create a New Home card using the Warm Welcome bundle. The Warm Welcome stamp set contains both images and sentiments. The Warm Welcome Dies coordinate with the images and have lots of extras.

Creating a New Home shaker card

Stamp your door, cat, and flowers onto Basic White cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Use Stampin’ Blends to colour your cat and flowers. and add dimension to your door and frame. I have used Bermuda Bay, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, Smokey Slate, and Pool Party. Die cut out your images and inside the doorframe.

Trim a layer of Smokey Slate cardstock, measuring 9.5cm x 13.9cm, place your door in position on top and mark the corners with pencil. Line up the inside doorframe die with your marks and die cut. Emboss your layer using the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder. Adhere your doorframe into place and add Window Sheet to the back. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, add your flowers into place and edge your cut out with Foam Adhesive Strips. Place several of each colour and size flowers from the Loose Flower Flourishes inside your Foam Adhesive Strips, ensuring they will be the correct way up.

Place Stampin’ Dimensionals onto the back of your flowers, this will allow your flowers to move behind. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper, big enough to cover your Foam Adhesive Stirps, and adhere into place. I used a piece from the Hues Of Happiness. 12 x 12.

Create an A6 card base from Smokey Slate cardstock, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm. Adhere your layer to the front, adding Stampin’ Dimensionals to the edges. Stamp your sentiment using Coastal Cabana ink, onto Basic White cardstock and die cut using banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Adhere your sentiment and cat into place.

That finishing touch

To finish your card, add several Brushed Brass Butterflies.
