Hello, I hope you are well? Thanks for hopping by, for this month’s Tech 4 Stampers blog hop we are bringing you ‘Cards For Kids’ . This is a fabulous theme, that really anything goes. Kids love all sorts of colours and images, and you really can go wild and make it fun and what’s more fun than a fun fancy fold!

I had chosen to use the Trucking Along bundle, as I had several pre-stamped and punched trucks on my desk. These are in the 2023-2025 In-colors, which are bright and fun, great for a kids card. I hadn’t decided on my final design and on Saturday we had our monthly online team meeting. During which we have a fun fancy fold mystery stamping session. We are given measurements of what to cut and that is all. It is wonderful to see how they turn out and what cardstock, DSP, etc others have chosen to use.

This month we were given the following measurements;

• Cardbase 21cm x 14.9cm, scored at 5.25 cm & 10.5cm
• Matching cardstock 12.5cm x 7.5cm and 11.5cm x 8cm
• Coordinating cardstock 12cm x 8.5cm
• Basic white cardstock 11cm x 7.5cm
• DSP 14.4cm x 10cm
• Different DSP 12cm x 7cm
• DSP 10cm x 10cm, scored at 2cm, 4cm, 6cm, 8cm.

I chose the Full Of Life DSP and paired with Blueberry Bushell and Berry Burst cardstock. Whilst putting the card together, and wanting an image for the front, I saw my pre done trucks and thought they would look good and also I could then use the card for today’s blog.

Fun Fancy Fold Kids Birthday Card

Cut and score cardbase. Fold and burnish into a Z-fold. Add largest piece of DSP onto inside of cardbase.

Layer 12×7 DSP onto 12.5×7.5 cardstock and 11.5×8 cardstock onto 12×8.5 coordinating cardstock.

Fold and burnish 10×10 DSP and glue to create an open-ended oblong. Add adhesive to two adjacent side and add inside your card, lining up central top to bottom. Adhere your 12.5x 7.5 layer to the front edge of the oblong. This will then lay flat when your card is closed and stand out when it is opened.

Stamp your design to your basic white cardstock, this is where I used my pre stamped and punched truck. You can do any design you choose. I also heat embossed my sentiment in white onto basic black cardtock and trimed to size, adhereing into place with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment I used is from the So Sincere stamp set.

Layer your basic white cardstock onto your matted cardstock layers. Close your card and adhere to the front left flap, your coordinating cardstock layer will line up with your cardstock layer already inside your card, this will appear to be an added layer to your card front panel when the card is closed.

To finish your card, add several Glossy Dots Assortments..
