Punch Your Way To A Beautiful Card

Welcome to our August Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop. This months theme is Punches and we all have a punch or two right? I was shocked at how few punches I actually have. Five, can you believe I only have five punches? Well it is true, so when its cam to creating for this I didn’t have a massive choice.

I decided to use the Bee Builder Punch, which coordinates with the Bee My Valentine Stamp Set. This is an oldie but a goodie and is fabulous, not only for creating a bee but also for hearts and a speech bubble. I love the simple bold images and the mix of fonts. The assortment of face stamps make the bee so darling and cute.

How to create a beautiful card with a punch.

Trim a piece of Basic White cardstock to 10cm x 14.4cm and using hunnycomb stamp and Daffodil Delight ink, stamp arrange the edge. Ensure you trun your stamp to give a random edge. Colour random selctions using a Daffodil Delight watercolor pencil and a blender pen. Add wink of stella over your coloured sections and allow to dry.

Wrap Real Red & white bakers twine several times around the middle of your cardfront and tie with a bow to the left hand side. Adhere to a piece of Basic Black cardstock measuring 10.2cm x 14.6cm. Create an A6 cardbase, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Daffodil Delight cardstock.

On Basic White cardstock, stamp two bees using Daffodil Delight and memento ink, and four wings using first and second generation Pool Party ink. Once dry, punch out each element. Add wink of stella to your wings and allow to dry, before adding them to your bees. I folded my one wing to allow it to flap and give dimension.

Heat emboss your sentiment onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock, measuring 7cm x 2.5cm, using versamark ink and white embossing powder. Using the Happy Labels Pick A Punch, edge your sentiment. Adhere over your bakers twine using dimensionals.

Arrange your bees onto your cardfront and adhere using wet glue and dimensioals. Punch out three small hearts from the Bee Builder Punch, using Real Red cardstock.

Finish your card by adding several Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
