Welcome to March’s Build & Bloom Blog Hop. This month, our theme is Springtime and boy am I ready for that! I do beleive that Spring is my favourite time of the year. It gives me that boost after the winter and I feel ready to push forward. I know I have been very inconsistant, and I appologise, but this have settled and I am in a better place and enjoying crafting again.

The card I have chosen to share today, is a Simple Pop Up box card, using the Easter Joy Suite from the Jan – Apr 2026 Stampin’ Up!® mini catalogue. This suite is adorable and I have had great fun using it as my Product Spotlight this month, over on my social media.

How to create a simple pop up box card.

Cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock, measuring 21cm x 14.9cm. Score, with the long edge at the top, at 5cm, 10cm, 15cm, and 20cm. This will leave a 1cm panel for your glue flap.

Turn your card 90 degrees to the right, short edge to the top, and score at 8.4cm down to the third score line. Cut along all four score lines, to your 8.4cm score line. Your will have to measure and mark the last one. Trim away top and bottom of glue flap. (see diagram below.)

Fold and burnish score lines. Add adhesive to glue flap and fold card to create your simple pop up box card.

Cut four cross bars from Crumb Cake card stock, measuring 6cm x 2cm, and score on the long side at 0.5cm and 5.5cm. Glue into the top of your pop up box card, from back to front, lining each one up to the one behind. These will be what you attach your decoration to.

Cut three pieces of Pretty In Pink DSP (designer series paper) from the Pleasant Patterns SDSP, measuring 4.7cm x 8.1cm. Adhere to the lower panels of your card, front, left, and right.

Using the Crumb Cake basket weave design DSP from the Easter Joy SDSP, cut three pieces meausring 4.7cm x 6.2cm and one 4.7cm x 14.6cm. Adhere to your three flaps and the inside back of your pop up box card.

Stamp a larger bunny image onto Basic White card stock, using Smoky Slate ink. Add Light Petal Pink Blend to nose and insde of ear. Using Light Smoky Slate Bland, add shading and soften with the Color Lifter Blend.

Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, onto Basic White card stock, stamp one small bunny, one carrot, two chicks, two flower clusters, three single flowers, five eggs, and a sentiment. Colour your images using Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Lemon Lolly, Peach Pie, Pretty In Pink, and Shy Shamrock Blends combos. Die-cut using the the cordinating dies and fussy cut sentiment.

Die-cut four lots of grass from Shy Shamrock card stock, three scolloped banners from Pretty Ink Pink, three flower stems from Shy Shamrock, three flowers from Lemon Lolly, and three from Peach Pie. Assemble the flowers using the Peach Pie centre and Lemon Lolly base.

Adhere your grass die-cut to the front of your cross bars and adhere your flowers, chick, and eggs to the rear. I found it easir to use mini glue dots for this. Use a mix of mini glue dots and dimensionals to adhere images and sentiment to your flaps.

To finish your card add a small bow made from Balmy Blue Gingham Ribbon. Your Simple Pop Up Box card will fold flat and fit into a standard C6 envelope.
