Hello and welcome to this months Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop. This months theme is Autumn and what a lovely theme it is. I love Autumn and all the warm colours it brings to mind.
I can not believe that we are more than half way through September already. The Summer is over, Autumn is here and our daughter is back at school. Year 10 and GCSE work is in full swing.
Autumn Drybrush Card
For my project I want to share a card, featuring a colour combination, that just screams Autumn to me. It uses the normal yellows and oranges, but also purples and teals. I really hope you like it and feel the warmth, as I do.
Cut a piece of ‘Whisper White’ cardstock, measuring 9.5 cm x 13.9 cm. Using ‘Daffodil Delight’, ‘Mango Melody’, ‘Crushed Curry’, ‘Pumpkin Pie’ and ‘Cajun Craze’ ‘Classic Stampin’ ink Refills’ add several drops of each onto a scrunched up baby wipe. Use this to ink up your ‘Drybrush’ background stamp and stamp image onto your piece of ‘Whisper White’ cardstock.
Layer onto a piece of ‘Blackberry Bliss’ cardstock, measuring 10 cm x 14.4 cm, and adhere to an A6 ‘Pretty Peacock’ cardbase, measuring 10.5 cm x 14.9 cm.
Take the foliage image from ‘Tasteful Touches’ and the swirl from ‘Comfort and Hope’ stamp sets and stamp both image onto your card front, in the lower left quarter, using ‘Shaded Spruce’ ink.
Stamp the foliage image from ‘Comfort and Hope’ twice onto a separate piece of ‘Whisper White’ cardstock, using 2nd generation stamping in ‘Blackberry Bliss’ and ‘Shaded Spruce’ inks. Fussy cut these our and add to your card front.
Create a banner by cutting a piece of ‘Whisper White’ cardstock, 9.5 cm x 1.5 cm, and layer onto a piece of ‘Blackberry Bliss’ cardstock, 9.5 cm x 2 cm. Stamp the word ‘Hope’ from ‘Comfort and Hope’ onto your banner, using ‘Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Marker’ to colour just the word hope. Adhere to your card front.
Using the flower image from ‘Tasteful Touches’ and ‘Pretty Peacock’ ink, stamp the image onto a piece of ‘Whisper White’ cardstock and fussy cut out. Place this onto your card front with ‘Stampin’ Dimensionals’.
I hope you have found some inspiration and i am sure you will find plenty more as you continue hopping around.

What a neat idea to add in purples and teals to the usual autumn colours. Love this card.
Love those colours Leighsa, and such an effective use of the background stamp with the sponging of colour with the baby wipe. Thanks for sharing.
