You to can create a beautiful Ombre Background with this cheat.

Hello and welcome to my latest blog post, I am joining the Crafty Collabrations – Crafty Challenge Blog Hop. We have been given a sketch to follow and you can follow exactly or interpret as you wish. I have sent myself the challenge to follow exactly.

I wanted to share with you the Free 6×6 DSP,(designer Series Paper), that is available during Sale-A-Bration with a £45 order. It allows you to create a beautiful Ombre background without any tools or mess. I know a lot of crafters feel they can not create an acceptable Ombre, do not like the mess or do not have the tools. All you need to do is trim your DSP to the size you require.

The DSP comes in four colours, ‘Bermuda Bay’, Blackberry Bliss’, ‘Granny Apple Green’ and ‘Rococo Rose’, and two designs, plain and circles. Both have the Ombre effect.

Ombre Background Cheat Card

Cut a piece of ‘Rococo Rose’ plain Ombre DSP, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm. Wrap around a piece of ‘Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon’ and adhere to a ‘Crumb Cake’ card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm.

Using the ‘Beautiful Friendship’ stamp set, stamp your flower image in ‘Rococo Rose’ ink onto ‘Basic White’ cardstock and your sentiment in ‘Crumb Cake’ ink. Die cut with a ‘Layering Ovals’ plain die. Adhere onto a die cut scalloped edge oval from ‘Crumb Cake’ cardstock, using the next size up die from the plain one used.

Trim off the righthand side to give a straight edge. Adhere on top of your ribbon, level to the righthand side, using ‘Stampin’ Dimensionals’.

Cut a 1/2 inch strip of ‘Crumb cake’ cardstock and use the ‘Lovely Labels Pick A Punch’ to give a fancy edge. Strip the scalloped edge from the ‘Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon’ and adhere to the top edge of your label. Trim to 4cm.

Wrap a piece of ‘Linen Thread’ around two fingers, several times, and place on the back of your label. Adhere to your card front using ‘Stampin’ Dimensionals’.
