Welcome to November’s Build & Bloom Blog Hop. This month our theme is Celebrate. There are some many things to celebrate; Christmas, Birthday, passing an exam, new job, the list goes on. I wanted to celebrate Family! Family is, for the most of us, the most important thing we have. Family can be whom ever you choose and I have a few; my actual family, my Stampin’ family and my support family. For this project I am choosing my actual family and will be using the spread for our Christmas photos.

Celebrate Family Double Page Spread

I will share here how I created the ‘Celebration’ page as I have a video creating the ‘Family’ page on a recent Facebook Live. I will add the video below.

On 12″ x 12″ Basic White cardstock, randomly stamp the large floral image from the Christmas Greenery stamp set using Secret Sea ink. Ensure that some of your images go over the edge of your page and that you rotate your stamp for a more random look. Using the two small flower infill stamps and Bubble Bath ink, add colour to your images. I used 2nd generation/stamped off stamping for a more subtle look.

Cut a strip of Secret Sea Two-Tone cardstock measuring 12″ x 1″, Gold Foil measuring 12″ x 1/4″, and Old Olive check DSP measuring 12″ x 2″. Adhere these, in order, to the bottom of your page. I have left approximately 1″ gap.

Using Secret Sea cardstock cut three squares measuring; 3 1/4″, 3 1/2″, and 4 1/2″. Cut three squares measuring 3″, 3 1/4″, and 4 1/4″ from a piece of floral DSP. Adhere DSP squares to Secret Sea squares and onto page, I used dimensionals. Cut three Basic White squares measuring 2 3/4″, 3″, and 4″. Adhere the smallest and largest to the DSP squares.

On the middle Basic White square, using the Our Story stamp set, stamp ‘the best memories are created with’ using Secret Sea ink and ‘family’ using Red Red ink. I have also used this stamp set for the foliage and berries, using Old Olive and Real Red inks. Once dry adhere to your DSP square.

Stamp the large floral image onto Basic White, using Secret Sea ink. Using the corresponding infill stamps, add Cherry Cobbler ink to the main flower, Bubble Bath to the small flowers, Old Olive to the pines/firs, and 2nd generation/stamped off Old Olive to the leaves. Die-cut and add to your page using dimensionals.

Trim a piece of Real Red cardstock to approximately 7″ x 2″ and add adhesive sheet to the rear. Use the Alphabet A La Mode dies to die-cut ‘Celebration’ and adhere to page.

Finish you page by adding gold and green Traditional Sparkling Sequins and Wink of Stella on your Cherry Cobbler Flower.
