How To Use A Tic Tac Toe Board For A Super Pretty Card

Hello and welcome. This is a new blog hop for me and I am so happy to be here. I was asked if I would like to join the Stamp Impression EUrope Group and their monthly blog hop during Onstage Cologne, and I was honoured and naturally I said yes. This group is well established and consists of super talented demonstrators from across Europe.

This month we have a Tic Tac Toe board, meaning we can pick any three squares that create a straight line. For my project I have chosen the middle horizontal line of designer series paper, stamped image, and matching envelope. For those that are new here, each month I choose a product/products to showcase and use these in my creation. This month I am using the Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite and co-ordinating products.

This suite was a must have for me, as soon as I saw it being demonstrated to us at Onstage Cologne. I love the images, patterens, and colours included within the suite. The black accents are a perfect contrast to the soft papers and make a fabulous statement. My first thoughts was to use this collection for scrapbooking, but it is just as perfect for cards.

How I created my card with the Tic Tac Toe.

Trim a panel of Basic White cardstock to 10cm x 14.4cm and adhere a layer of Pool Party polka dot DSP, measuring 9cm x 13.4cm. Cut a square of Daffodil Delight honeycomb DSP, measuring 8cm x 8cm, and adhere to your polka dot layer, lining up the lefthand edge. Adhere a strip of multi-coloured stripped DSP, measuring 10cm x 2.5cm, over your honeycomb square.

Using Basic White cardstock and the Extraordinary Life Dies, die-cut a note page square. Add Pool Party ink, using a blending brush, to create a soft hue of colour. For extra texture, splatter Pool Party over the same area. Adhere to your card front at an angle.

On Basic White cardstock, stamp a butterfly in Memento and colour Flirty Flamingo Blend. Add your sentiment and butterfly to your card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Embellish with Flirty Flamingo Array Of Dots and Wink Of Stella to your your butterfly.

Finish your card by adding strip of stripped DSP, measuring 10cm x 1.5cm, to a Basic White layer, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm, and adhere inside your card.

For your matching envelope, add Pool Party ink blending and splatters to the bottom right corner. Cut a strip of stipped DSP, measuring 1cm x 11cm, and adhere to the righthand edge. Stamp, colour and die-cut a second butterfly and add over your blending.
