Stamp Impressions Blog Hop Challenge June 26 Sketch/Layout

Welcome to my second Stamp Impression EUrope blog hop! This group is well established and consists of super talented demonstrators from across Europe and I am honoured to be part of this group. Each month we have a different challenge to create our project around. This can be a perfect starting point and great for stretching your creativity.

This month we have a sketch. You maybe wondering ‘what is a sketch’? They are also referred to as a layout. It is a drawing/diagram of a card/project for you to copy or interprate as you wish. I mostly use them as a guide and change the shape to suite.

For those that are new here, each month I choose a product/products to showcase and use these in my projects. This month I am using the Flowering Meadow Bundle from the Velvet Meadow Suite. I wanted to highlight that you don’t have to purchase the whole of a suite and can pair them with items from your crafty stash.

Flowering Meadow Bundle

How I created my simple flower wreath card.

Stamp Impressions Blog Hop Challenge June 26 Sketch/Layout. Rainbow Flower Wreath using the Flowering Meadow Bundle large flowers, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Azure Afternoon, Gorgeous Grape. Cute Smoky Slate Kola from the Product Of The Month Wild Bunch stamp set and Basic Black Splatter to a Basic White background, layered on to Basic Black and a Basic White cardbase. Happy Birthday sentiment and rhinestones.

Stamp six of the larger flower image, using a rainbow of colours, onto Basic White cardstock and die-cut. I used Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Azure Afternoon, and Gorgeous Grape inks. If you allow these to dry for a few minutes, you can then stamp the flower centres using the same colour ink and they will be more visible.

Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 9.7cm x 14.1cm, and lightly splatter with Basic Black. This gives texture and interest to your card. Arrange your flowers in a circle to create a flower wreath, tucking them under each other and adhere into place.

On Basic White cardstock, stamp a Kola and gift from the current Product Of The Month Wild Bunch Stamp Set. Colour with Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut around. I used Smoky Slate, Petal Pink, and Berry Burst. Add to your flower wreath using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Create an A6 Basic White Thick cardbase, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm. Trim a piece of Basic Black cradstock to10cm x 14.4cm and adhere your cardbase. Add your card front to your Basic Black layer.

Stamp your sentiment on Basic White cardstock using Basic Black ink. Trim to suit and adhere to your flower wreath. I used the Happy Birthday from the Wild Bunch stamp set. Finish your simple flower wreath card by adding several Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I hope I have inspired you to create a card using a sketch/layout. All the products used are listed below and available to purchase from my online store.

Please do continue to hop round for lots more creativity and inspiration. I can’t wait to see what the other demonstrators have chosen to share with you.

Happy Crafting
