Holidays – Creativity Abounds Blog Hop – October ’26

Hello and welcome to the Creativity Abounds Holidays Blog Hop. If you are new here, thank you for hopping by. I am very excited to have been asked to join this fabulous group of amazing Stampin’ Up!® demonstrator. The group is well established and contains demos from around the world, who love to share inspiration to others.

This month our theme is Holidays! We have a wide selection of Holidays to choose from, some celebrated more than others. With it being October, I thought I would share a Halloween card with you. This is not one of our largest Holidays here in the U.K., but one I have always enjoyed.

When Hayden (our son) was younger, we celebrated Halloween abit more than we do now. Mainly down to fact that he wanted to dress up and go ‘Trick or Treating’. Now he dresses up but takes himself off to the Uni bar for a party. I do like to decorate my little season tree that I have in my craft area and pull out a few decorations to put around our living room.

For my card I have used the Frightfully Fun Suite and a selection of other products. All are listed below.

My Holidays Halloween Card.

Create an A6 cardbase, measuring 14.9cm x 10.5cm, using Pretty Peacock cardstock. Cut a piece of Frightfully Fun DSP, measuring 14.4cm x 10cm, and adhere to your card front. Die-cut two webs from Basic White cardstock and adhere to your DSP. Trim a piece of Basic White cardstock to 12.5cm x 3cm, banner cut both ends and adhere to the centre of your card front.

For my Pretty Peacock ribbon, I cut a length of Peaceful Pine ribbon, measuring 14cm, and coloured using dark Pretty Peacock Blend. Fold in half and attach to Basic White banner. Die-cut two trees from Pretty Peacock cardstock and adhere to your card front.

From Basic White cardstock, die-cut two large and one small cloud. Using Pretty Peacock and Basic Gray ink, add light blending to your clouds with a blending brush. Add to your card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Use your dark Pretty Peacock Blend to add splatters over your card.

Colour your images using Pretty Peacock, Basic Black and Smoky Slate Blends combos. For my ghost, I used a blender pen to blur the ink slightly where I wanted some shading.
