Stampin’ Up! Retiring Products

Wow its already been a month since our last blog hop, and what a month it has been.  More about that in an upcoming post. For this months blog hop we are showcasing Stampin’ Up! Retiring Products.

You may be wondering what SUBA is all about, well it is an amazing IT training business.  Simply Unique Business Angels is run by Louise Sims – Stampin Delight and Pip Todman – Queen pip cards.  They help others to better understand the systems that they use and build the confidence to use them more so. Visit their website for more information.

SU Business Angels I have chosen the ‘Garden in Bloom’ stamp set, which is a very versatile set with flowers, leaves and a couple of natures cute little pets.

I have three cards to show you that show the versatility of this set.  Being a photopolymer set allows you to create great dimension, using the 3 step stamp method.  Layering the images is easy and being a sketched look means placement does not have to be exact.

The layout for this card was taken form the annual catalogue and used the ‘So Many Shells’ stamp set.  I really enjoy CASEing (copy and share everything) other cards that I see, but using a different stamp set.  To create this card take an A6 Whisper White card base.  Cut a 8cm x 12cm Whisper white layer and stamp using ‘Hardwood’ background stamp in ‘Crumb cake’.  Place this in the centre of your card base. Cut a 8cm x 12cm piece of vellum and place this on top at an angle.  I use ‘Tombow’ to adhere, placing the glue underneath where the flowers are to be placed.  On a piece of Whisper white stamp 5 flower using ‘Pool Party’, ‘Delightful Daffodil’ and ‘Berry Burst.  Fussy cut round these and add to the front of your card.  Stamp a sentiment in ‘Berry Burst’ and punch out using ‘Pretty Label’ punch, adhere to card front with dimensionals.  To finish add a few Rhinestones.  A very effect card.

The other two cards I would like to share are both cards I have Cased, the first from Pinterest and the second from Louise Sims at Stampin Delight.  Both very pretty cards and very different.
