Hello and welcome. I am so glad you have popped by. Todays blog is for the Global Design Project #GDP254. We have been given a layout to CASE and I need a friends forever card.
Due to our current weather conditions, I thought the ‘Under My Umbrella’ stamp set was very appropriate. Here is the West Midlands, U.K. we have gone from a heat wave and no rain for days, to electric storms and localised flooding. You never can predict just what will come next, snow and hale maybe!
I have based my project on a card I made a few months back, for a colour challenge. I liked it so much and I thought it would adapt this layout well. My original card was portrait and saw a row of wellies to the left of the card.
Friends Forever Card
Cut a piece of ‘Coastal Cabana’ cardstock, measuring 13.4 cm x 9cm, and create a background using ‘Coastal Cabana’ ink and the rain drops image, from the ‘Under My Umbrella’ stamp set. Adhere to a piece of ‘Daffodil Delight’ cardstock, measuring 13.7 cm x 9.3 cm.
Using ‘Tuxedo Black Memento’ ink stamp your sentiment onto ‘Daffodil Delight’ cardstock and stamp three pairs of wellies onto ‘Bermuda Bay’, ‘Mango Melody’ and ‘Terracotta Tile’ cardstock. Fussy cut out your wellies and trim your sentiment to size.
Cut a piece of ‘Coastal Cabana’ ribbon, from the ‘Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack’, fold in half and adhere to the reverse of your sentiment. Adhere your sentiment to your stamped background and using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’ add your wellies. Adhere your finished piece to the front of an A6 cardbase, measuring 14.9 cm x 10.5 cm.
