Hello and welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog, where our theme is Any Three Colours from One Colour Family. Any three colours we choose. If there is one thing, we have plenty of, it is colours. From bright and bold to pale and pastel, and everything in-between.
I knew straight away, I wanted to use the New 2022 – 2024 In colours. These are so bright and fun, they make a real impact.
Three Colours for A Little Hello Card
For my card I have chosen to use the Boughs & Blossoms stamp set, which will be retiring at the end of June 2022. This stamp set has beautiful, bold floral and foliage images, plus three everyday sentiments.
Trim a piece of Basic White cardstock to 9.8cm x 14.2cm. Using Orchid Oasis, Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party ink, randomly stamp over your piece of Basic White cardstock to create a fun background. Splatter lightly over your stamped background, using the same three colours. Todo this I used Stampin’ Blends and flicked the brush nib on the edge of the lid.
Cut a layer of Basic Black cardstock, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm, and adhere to the back of your stamped background. Wrap a piece of Black & White Gingham Ribbon across the center and adhere at the back.
Stamp your sentiment using Versamark ink, onto Basic Black cardstock, and cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Shake off the excess and heat until melted. Die-cut using a banner from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Adhere onto your ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using the Bough Punch, punch out three pieces in your three colours. Tuck these under your sentiment and adhere with Multi-Purpose Glue.
To finish, add several Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
