Shapes and Flowers Thank You Card for #GDP351

Hello, thank you for stopping by and allowing me to inspire you to get creative! Today I would like to share with you how I created this Happy Birthday Tag card for the Global Design Project #GDP351. This week we have a theme: Shape.

I have had fun creating this card, though I must admit that I struggled to begin with. The Beautiful Shapes Dies were a must and I wanted to use the Perfectly Penciled DSP, (Designer Series Paper).

Shapes and Flowers Thank You Card

Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Basic Black cardstock. Trim a piece of Basic White cardstock to 10cm x 14.4cm and adhere to your card base. Layer with a piece of Blushing Bride DSP from the Gingham Cottage paper, measuring 8.5cm x 14.4cm.

Using the Beautiful Shapes Dies, cut two small and three middle sized hexagons from Basic Black cardstock. Cut three hexagons from Perfectly Pencilled DSP, using the second smallest die. Adhere your DSP hexagons onto your Basic Black hexagons and adhere to your card front. Add your two small Basic Black hexagons.

Fussy cut two flourishes from the Perfectly Pencilled DSP and colour the flowers of one using Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write Marker. Adhere both to your card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Cut a length of Black & White Gingham Ribbon, fold in half and adhere under the stems of your flourishes, using Mini Glue Dots.

Stamp your Thank You sentiment onto Basic Black cardstock, using Versamark Ink, and over with White Embossing Powder. Shake off excess and heat until melted. Fussy cut around and add to your card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish your Thank You card, add several Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
