Hello, thank you for stopping by and allowing me to inspire you to get creative! Today I would like to share with you how I created this card, using Watercolour Die Cuts flowers and foliage, for the Global Design Project #GDP355. This week we have a CASE the designer challenge.
For this card I have chosen to use the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set and coordinating Penned Flowers Dies.
Watercolour Die Cuts
Using the Penned Flowers Dies, cut one large cluster and several single flowers and leaves from Shimmery White cardstock. Colour your dies cuts with Water Painters and Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, and Polished Pink inks.
Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm, and using Granny Apple Green ink with a Blending Brush add a soft background to the center. Adhere your images to your background with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Mat onto a layer of Bermuda Bay cardstock, measuring 10.3cm x 14.7cm.
Stamp your sentiment onto Bermuda Bay cardstock, using Versamark ink. Cover with White Embossing Powder and heat until melted. Trim to fit and die cut the bottom using the fancy edge die. Cut a length of White Baker’s Twine and loop onto your layers. Add your sentiment over your twine and adhere using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Thick Basic White cardstock. Adhere your layers to your card base.
To finish your card, add green For Everything Fancy Sequins. For a more natural look, I took a pinch, held over my card, and dropped them. I then glued them into place, where they had fallen. Removing any from the main image.
