Hello, it’s time for Mays Tech 4 Stampers blog hop. Did you watch the Coronation of King Charles III? What a wonderful day, I watched whilst crafting! This month’s theme is For The Men. I really struggle with masculine cards, as I know many of us do. I tend to gravitate towards Simple Stamping for men’s card and that is what I have chosen to do today.

The stamp set I have chosen to use is Night Of Flight and it is a Host reward that can be earnt for a qualifying party order. The set is images only of wonderful moths. I understand that moths may not be your first choice, for a stamp set, but this really is something different and had me drawn to it.

A Simple Stamping Male Card

Trim a piece of Basic White cardstock to 10cm x 14.9cm and stamp your chosen moth image, using Stazon Jet Black ink. Using Pretty Peacock ink and a Blending Brush, create a shadow of colour over your stamped image. Start in the center and blend outwards. Continue until you are happy with the colour and blend.

For added texture and design, use a Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write Marker or Stampin’ Blend and splatter your card front, concentrating over your blended area. To do this, flick your brush tip on the lid edge.

Cut a mat of Pretty Peacock cardstock, measuring 10.2cm x 14.6cm, and adhere to your card front. Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Thick Basic White cardstock. Adhere your matted card front to your card base.

Stamp your sentiment onto Basic Black cardstock, using Versamark ink. Cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, shake off excess and heat, using a Heat Tool, until all is melted and shiny. Fussy cut or die cut around your sentiment and adhere to your card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
