Hello and welcome to Septembers Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop. This month’s theme is a layout challenge. I really enjoy a layout challenge. It gives me a starting point, but allows my creativity to run wild, should it wish.
Many people question ‘How to use a layout’ and there is no right or wrong way. Layout, or sketch, challenges can be interpreted anyway you like. You can follow it exactly, turn it sideways, on its head, or as a loose idea. I have followed the layout quite closely for my card today, using the Beautiful Balloons Bundle and Designer Series Paper (DSP).
Cut a piece of Bright & Beautiful (DSP), measuring 10cm x 14.4cm. Matt on to an A6 Azure Afternoon card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm.
Using the Stylish Shapes Dies, die-cut the largest circle from a piece of Azure Afternoon DSP and the largest banner from Basic White cardstock. Adhere your circle to your card front.
Stamp your sentiment onto your banner using Azure Afternoon ink and your balloon images onto Basic White cardstock, using Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly and Lost Lagoon ink. Die-cut the balloons using the corresponding dies and adhere to your circle, with your sentiment, using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add a die-cut tassel to the bottom of the largest balloon, I cut from a piece of Lost Lagoon DSP.
Finishing touches.
Add several pink sequins from the Pastel Adhesive-backed Sequins.
