Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Octobers Tech 4 Stampers blog hop. This month’s theme is Festive, though with this mild weather we are having here in the UK, I am not feeling very festive at all. I am currently sat here wearing a vest top and all doors and windows open. I am not complaining, but it really is not getting me ready for Christmas crafting.

For this month’s project I wanted to create a fancy fold and have chosen a Double Z-Fold card. These are a simple, yet fun way to create something a bit different.

Double Z Fold using Trucking Along Bundle and Beary Christmas DSP

Creating your double Z-fold card

Trim a piece Night Of Navy cardstock, measuring 29.5cm x 10.5cm, and score at 7.4cm and 14.9cm. Fold in half on the 14.9cm score line and fold back on itself along the 7.4cm score line. This will give you a Z shape. Cut two pieces of DSP (Designer Series Paper), one measuring 14.3cm x 9.7cm and one 6.6cm x 9.7cm. Matt onto Old Olive cardstock, one measuring 14.4cm x 10cm and one 6.9cm x 10cm and adhere to your card base.

Trim a piece of Old Olive cardstock, measuring 22.5cm x 7.5cm, score at 7.5cm and 15cm and fold into a Z. Matt two sides with Verry Vanilla cardstock, measuring 7.2cm x 7.2cm. Stamp your sentiments using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Fussy cut a tree from your dsp and adhere to the front of your small Z.

Place both your card Z shapes together and line up so they will both lie flat. When happy, adhere into place. Close to ensure it is central. This is your Double Z-fold.

Stamp your truck onto Verry Vanilla cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink for the outline and tyres, and Cherry Cobbler ink for the infill. Punch out with coordinating Truck Punch. Stamp, colour, fussy cut presents and adhere to truck. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, place truck overlapping your tree.

Embellish your tree with Cherry Cobbler Festive Pearls and I drew a little star using a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.
