Hello and welcome to February’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop. For this month’s theme we have a colour challenge. I do enjoy a colour challenge, sometimes it really makes you think creatively. Stampin’ Up!’s full range of coordinating products makes this challenge perfect. Having the cardstock, ink, papers, blends and more, in the matching colours makes creating with a select few colours easier.

I had to choose the Darling Details Bundle to pair with these colours. For me they just fit right together. Sometimes this happens, you see a colour combo and know straight away what stamp set you want to use with it, or vice versa.

Creating your colour challenge card

Cut a panel of basic white cardstock, measuring 9cm x 12cm. Stamp the large flower image, using a light ink (I use stamped off Bubble Bath) to the center. This is a guide for stamping the other images. Either side and over lapping slightly, stamp the middle-sized flower image, using Berry Burst ink. I use second generation/stamped off for the outline and third generation/stamped off twice for the infill. Next stamp the foliage sprig four times, using Pretty Peacock ink. Finish your panel by stamping several of the small flower image around, using Lost Lagoon ink.

On a scrap of basic white cardstock, stamp the large flower using Berry Burst ink. Full strength for the outline and second generation/stamped off for the infill. Die cut with the coordinating die. From basic white cardstock, die cut the large, detailed frame, two long floral sprigs and two leaf trios.

Adhere your large flower to your panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere your die cut foliage and leaves, under your flower, using wet glue. Attach your detailed frame to your panel, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Heat emboss your sentiment in white onto Basic Black cardstock. Fussy cut around and adhere to your panel.

Trim a piece of Lost Lagoon Tartan Foil Speciality Designer Series Paper to 10cm x 14.4cm. Adhere this to an A6 Thick Basic White card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm.

Finish your card by adding your panel to your card base.
