Welcome and thanks for stopping by. It’s time for the Build & Bloom Blog Hop and for June we are bringing you ‘For Kids’ projects. I love creating kids cards as I get a chance to create a fun scene. Simple shapes and bold colours were in order.

This month I have chosen to use the Flowering Meadow Bundle as my Product Spotlight over on my social media. This is part of a larger suite but I wanted to show that you do not have to buy everything. I know we want it all, but sometimes the bank balance does not allow for this. The bundle is beautiful and very versatile, with lots of florals and foliage.

How to create your fun scene card.

It's Your Birthday DL Card using the Flowering Meadow Bundle for a rainbow of flowers, Blended background and Old Olive DSP

Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 20.5cm x 9.5cm. Using a blending brush and Azure Afternoon ink, lightly add colour to the top half of your card layer. Trim a piece of Old Olive DSP (designer series paper) to 20.5cm x 7cm and cut a wavy line on the top edge. Adhere your DSP to the bottom of your blended cardstock. This will be your sky and grass for your fun scene card.

Using the single stem and bud stamps, stamp seven images using Old Olive ink for the stems and Melon Mambo, Poppy Parade, Timid Tiger, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Azure Afternoon, and Gourgeous Grape ink for the buds. Fussy cut around the images. If you do not like to fussy cut, you can stamp the buds and stems separately, die-cut, and glue together.

Adhere your bud images across your scene in a rainbow, using a mix of dimensions and glue dots. Die-cut five ‘Daisy Heads’ from Old Olive card and adhere upside down over the bottoms of your stems. These will be grass growing around the bottom of your flowers.

Stamp your sentiment onto Basic White cardstock, using black ink. Die-cut or trim to size and add to your sky using dimensionals. I used the Words Of Beauty Bundle.

Create a cardbase, measuring 21cm x 10cm, using Thick Basic White. Adhere your fun scene to your cardbase. To finish your card, add several ladybugs from the Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shapes.
