Hello and welcome. I am so glad that you have dropped by. I would like to share with you a card I have made for the Global Design Project #GDP268. This weeks theme is CASE the designer.
After much pondering and looking through stamp sets, I have decided to use the ‘Birds & Branches’ stamp set and coordinating ‘Birds & More’ dies. I wanted to follow Charlet’s design by using black and white with an accent colour. For this I am going to use ‘Coastal Cabana’, it is one of my favourite colours and always makes me smile.
You Are Simply Wonderful #GDP268
Cut an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, from ‘Coastal Cabana’ cardstock. Emboss a piece of ‘Whisper White’ cardstock, measuring 9.5cm x 14.9cm, you can use any embossing folder you wish. I have chosen to use the ‘Tasteful Textile’ 3D embossing folder. Adhere flat to your card front, using ‘Multipurpose Glue’.
Stamp your bird image onto ‘Whisper White’ cardstock, using ‘Coastal Cabana’ ink, and cut out using the coordinating die. Using the largest of the plain ‘Layering Circles’ dies, cut a circle from ‘Whisper White’ cardstock. Place the circular foliage die onto the circle and cut. This will leave a very thin border on your foliage. Cut a branch from ‘Basic Black’ cardstock, using the die.
Take a strip of ‘Coastal Cabana’ ‘Playing With Patterns Designer Series Paper’, measuring 8.5cm x 2cm. Adhere this onto your embossed layer and add your foliage circle. Place a doubled piece of ‘Coastal Cabana’ ribbon, from the ‘Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack’, to the right hand side of your foliage circle and adhere using ‘Mini Glue Dots’.
Using ‘Multipurpose Glue’, adhere your branch to your card front and your bird image, using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’.
Stamp your sentiment onto a piece of ‘Whisper White’ cardstock, using ‘Memento Tuxedo Black’ ink. Trim to size and adhere using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’. To finish add several ‘Basic Rhinestones’.
