Hello and welcome to this month’s Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop. For November we have a theme of ‘Celebrate’. As card makers we tend to celebrate any occasion, but more than any other, it must be birthdays that we celebrate the most.

I love to send a little bit of happy mail for someone’s birthday! The opportunity to craft with a specific person in mind, gets me to think creatively. Whether it’s using a person’s favourite flower, colour or matching the overall look to them, it is great fun.

Celebrate A Birthday Card

Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Basic Black cardstock. Adhere a piece of DSP (Designer Series Paper) measuring 9cm x 13.4cm, I have chosen a Polished Pink piece from the Celebrate Everything Host pack.

Using the Drybrush background stamp and the Stamparatus, ink up the stamp using Coastal Cabana ink. Using a Sponge Dauber, add Bermuda Bay ink around the edges of your stamp and stamp onto Basic White cardstock. Repeat, if necessary, until you are happy with the result. Trim down to 9cm x 13.4cm. Wrap silver Simply Elegant Trim, twice around, tie with a bow and matt onto your DSP.

Using the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies, die cut three candles from Polished Pink cardstock and three flames & candle backs from Silver Foil, I have used the Mirrored Foil Finish. Glue these together.

Stamp your sentiment, I have used the Happy Birthday from the Biggest Wish stamp set, using Versamark ink onto Basic Black cardstock. Trim or fussy cut to size. Adhere to your card front, using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tuck your candles around your sentiment and adhere using Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Finish your card by adding a sprinkling of Sparkle & Shine Sequins Assortment and gluing into place.
