Happy New Year! I do hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We had a very quiet, relaxing time at home, and I am looking forward to getting back into things.

Welcome to January’s Build & Bloom Blog Hop. This month, our theme is Love & Friendship, totally fitting with upcoming Valentine’s Day and my monthly Product Spotlight. Each month I will be using a chosen product, a bundle, suite or a single item, to create with and share with you many different ideas and projects. I have chosen the Love Notes 6×6 DSP for January, and I am loving how easy it is to use.

The card I have chosen to share today, is a Fun Fold card I created at the recent Build & Bloom Craft and Chat event. We have a mystery stamping segment, where we are given measurements of card and paper to pre-cut. During the event, we are then told how to score and put the pieces together. It is a great way to see how different a card can look by using different coloured card and papers.

How to create a simple fun fold card.

Cut a piece of thick Basic White card stock, measuring 28.5cm x 14.9cm. Score each end at 3cm, 6cm, and 9cm. Fold and burnish your score line into valley, mountain, valley, valley, mountain, and valley. This will give you three panels either side of a larger centre panel.

Using two coordinating designs of DSP, cut eight strips measuring 2.7cm x 14.6cm. Adhere strips to your six panels. The remaining two strips will be adhered to the outer two panels on the reverse.

Trim another piece of thick Basic White card stock, measuring 29cm x 10cm, and score at 14.5cm. This will give you a tent fold card. Adhere a DSP panel to the front, measuring 9.5cm x 14cm.

I chose a sentiment from one of the cut-a-parts within the DSP pack and trimmed to size, you could also stamp a sentiment of your choice. Adhere your sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Add a small Real Red & White Baker’s Twine bow, using a mini glue dot and several Rhinestone Basic Jewels around your sentiment. Adhere your tent fold card to your large centre panel.

Finish your card by adding a small cut-a-part image, from the DSP, to the inside of your tent fold.

Welcome to our August Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop. This months theme is Punches and we all have a punch or two right? I was shocked at how few punches I actually have. Five, can you believe I only have five punches? Well it is true, so when its cam to creating for this I didn’t have a massive choice.

I decided to use the Bee Builder Punch, which coordinates with the Bee My Valentine Stamp Set. This is an oldie but a goodie and is fabulous, not only for creating a bee but also for hearts and a speech bubble. I love the simple bold images and the mix of fonts. The assortment of face stamps make the bee so darling and cute.

How to create a beautiful card with a punch.

Trim a piece of Basic White cardstock to 10cm x 14.4cm and using hunnycomb stamp and Daffodil Delight ink, stamp arrange the edge. Ensure you trun your stamp to give a random edge. Colour random selctions using a Daffodil Delight watercolor pencil and a blender pen. Add wink of stella over your coloured sections and allow to dry.

Wrap Real Red & white bakers twine several times around the middle of your cardfront and tie with a bow to the left hand side. Adhere to a piece of Basic Black cardstock measuring 10.2cm x 14.6cm. Create an A6 cardbase, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Daffodil Delight cardstock.

On Basic White cardstock, stamp two bees using Daffodil Delight and memento ink, and four wings using first and second generation Pool Party ink. Once dry, punch out each element. Add wink of stella to your wings and allow to dry, before adding them to your bees. I folded my one wing to allow it to flap and give dimension.

Heat emboss your sentiment onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock, measuring 7cm x 2.5cm, using versamark ink and white embossing powder. Using the Happy Labels Pick A Punch, edge your sentiment. Adhere over your bakers twine using dimensionals.

Arrange your bees onto your cardfront and adhere using wet glue and dimensioals. Punch out three small hearts from the Bee Builder Punch, using Real Red cardstock.

Finish your card by adding several Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Hello and welcome to Februarys Tech 4 Stampers blog hop. This month’s theme is Vellum, there are so many ways that you can use vellum in card making. In the past I have used to soften a background, which may have been a bit overpowering, to provide a separation between background and focal image. I have also used it with Stampin’ Blends and Alcohol to create a background. I am sure you can think of many more.

Today’s card uses vellum as part of my main image. I have created a double gate fold card featuring the Bee Mine Suite and vellum makes for the perfect wings on my bee.

Creating your Double Gate Fold Card

Cut a piece of Basic White Thick cardstock, measuring 28cm x 14.9cm. Score at 3cm, 8.5cm, 19.5cm and 25cm. Fold your first score mountain, second valley, third valley and fourth mountain.

Trim two pieces of DSP (designer Series Paper) to 2.5cm x 14.4cm and two pieces to 5cm x 14.4cm. Adhere to your front panels. Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 10.5cm x 14.4cm, and stamp flowers, stems, and sentiment. Adhere to your inside middle panel.

Die cut the second largest circle, using the Stylish Shapes Dies, from Basic White cardstock. Using Balmy Blue ink and a Blending Brush, add a hint of colour to the top two thirds of the circle. Stamp two flower stems to the bottom.

Using black emboss powder, heat emboss your bee stripes and face onto Daffodil Delight cardstock and wings and antennae onto vellum. Punch out, using the Bee punch. Adhere your wings and antennae to the reverse of your bee. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere your bee to your circle.

Stamp a couple of flower heads on to Basic White cardstock and fussy cut. Adhere to the top of your flower stems, I added one flat and one with dimensionals. Attach your circle to your card by adding adhesive to only half of the rear.

To finish your card, heat emboss a sentiment in white onto Basic Black cardstock and trim to size. Add using dimensionals and embellish with hearts from the Adhesive-backed Hearts & Flowers.

Using Sale-a-bration Sunny Days DSP

I have chosen to use the Sale-a-bration Sunny Days DSP, which are FREE with a £45 spend. I have paired these with the Fluffiest Friends Bundle, which is an online exclusive.

Cut a piece of Sale-a-bration Sunny Days (DSP), measuring 8cm x 14.4cm, and matt onto a layer of Basic White cardstock, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm. Adhere to an A6 Petal Pink card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm.

Using the Deckled Circles Dies, die-cut 6.5cm circle from a piece of Petal Pink cardstock and using Petal Pink ink, stamp the bees’ image over the top half.

Stamp your little creature onto Basic White cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and add colour with Stampin’ Blends. Using the coordinating die, die cut out and adhere to your circle.

Add a fold of Pool Party Grosgrain Ribbon behind your circle and use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere to your card.

Finishing touches.

Add several Pook Party hearts from the Adhesive-backed Hearts & Flowers.

Happy New Year and welcome to the first Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop of 2023. I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas holiday, if you celebrate, and a fabulous New Year! I can’t believe we are into another year again; they certainly seem to come round faster the older I get. For January we have a theme of ‘Love’. Love for everything and anything. I have chosen to create a Valentines card ready for next month.

Easy To Love Valentines Card

Trim a piece of DSP (Designer Series Paper) measuring 8cm x 14.4cm, I have chosen a piece from the Country Floral Lane DSP, and adhere to a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock, measuring 8.5cm x 14.4cm. Adhere to a Basic White card layer, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm. Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Thick Basic White cardstock and adhere your layer to the front.

Stamp a basket from the Cheerful Basket stamp set, using Early Espresso ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock. Colour using Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blends. Fussy cut around the image. Using Sweet Sorbet ink, stamp hearts image onto Basic White cardstock. Colour using Petal Pink and Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blends. Fussy cut around the image and adhere to the back of your basket, using Stampin’ Dimensionals. There are dies to cut both the hearts and basket if you prefer, Full Basket Dies.

Stamp your sentiment, I have used You Are Easy To Love from the Beautifully Happy stamp set (available FREE with any £90 order during Sale a-bration), using Sweet Sorbet ink onto Basic White cardstock. Die cut your sentiment using a banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies, ensuring it is over to the left-hand side.

Add your basket of hearts to your card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Trim your sentiment to size and also using Stampin’ Dimensionals, add to your card.

Finish your card by adding Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels and Wink of Stella to your hearts.

Hello and welcome to this months Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop. This months theme is Sweet Treats and I just had to use the ‘Sweet Talk’ suite. This suite is adorable, great for valentines or that special someone, but also for birthdays and kids. I wanted to make a fun card, suitable for a BFF.

As a child I used to love Pop Up books and was amazed by the characters and images that seemed to jump out of the page. Today, I have recreated that joy in a card and hope that you too give it a go.

Sweet Treat Pop Up Card

Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, from ‘Pool Party’ cardstock. Trim a piece of ‘Sweet Talk DSP’ (Designer Series Paper) to 9.5cm x 13.9cm and adhere to a ‘Blushing Bride’ cardstock layer, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm. Attach this to your card base using ‘Multipurpose Liquid Glue’.

Fussy cut three sweet packets and sweets from your DSP. You could choose lollipops or hearts, if preferred. Adhere to your card front using ‘Stampin’ Dimensionals’.

Die-cut a banner from ‘Pool Party’ cardstock and adhere to your card front using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’. Using the three hearts die, cut from ‘Blushing Bride’ cardstock and adhere to your banner with ‘Multipurpose Liquid Glue’.

Finish your card front by adding ‘Rhinestone Basic Jewels’.

Creating your inside

For your inside, cut a piece of ‘Basic White’ cardstock, measuring 20cm x 13.9cm. Score at 10cm on the 20cm edge. On the reverse, measure and mark at 7cm and 13cm on the 20cm. Draw faint lines top to bottom. Measure and mark along the lines at 3cm and 6cm, from the bottom. Cut between the two 3cm marks and the two 6cm marks. Score between your two cuts along the vertical lines. This will give you your pop up box.

Die-cut several large and small hearts from your DSP and fussy cut two sweets. Again you could use lollipops if preferred. Cover your pop up in dsp, measuring 6cm x 3cm. Cut strips of ‘Window Sheet’ to 5cm x 5mm, these will hold your images in your pop up box. Using ‘Mini Glue Dots’, adhere your hearts to the top of your ‘Window Sheet’ strips and the bottoms inside your pop up box. Place some to the back and some to the front, at different heights.

Finish your inside by adding a heart and a couple of sweets to the front of your box and a stamped heart in ‘Real Red’ ink.

Hello and welcome. This weeks Global Design Project #GDP275 is the theme – Love. You can use any products and let your creativity run wild, within the guidelines.

I do not have any specific love stamp sets, but I do have the ‘Playful Pets DSP’ (Designer Series Paper). This paper has lots of hearts, as well as the cats and dogs. The black and white, with the splash of ‘Real Red’, gives a very typical love feel.

P.S. I Love You Dog Card

Cut an A6 card base from ‘Real Red’ card stock, measuring 14.9cm x 10.5cm. Top with a piece of paw print and heart DSP, measuring 14.4cm x 10cm. Trim a piece of black script DSP, measuring 5cm x 10cm and matt on to a piece of ‘Real Red’ cardstock, measuring 5.5cm x 10cm. Adhere to the left hand side of your card front.

Fussy cut a dog image from the DSP and adhere to your card front, using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’. Stamp your sentiment onto ‘Basic White’ card stock, using ‘Memento Tuxedo Black’ ink. I used the ‘Ridiculously Awesome’ stamp set. Using ‘Real Red’ ink, stamp a heart above the you. Die cut this out, using the ‘Stitched Rectangles’ dies.

Mount you sentiment, using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’ and finish with a few ‘Rhinestones Basic Jewels’.

Hello and welcome to this months Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop. This months theme is Love/Hugs and I think we all need and deserve a bit of both right now.

Wow! it is January 2021 and we are in lockdown again. I do hope that you enjoyed Christmas in the best way you could. It was lovely here, as I got to stay home for Christmas day, I am usually working, and we played games, watched Christmas movies and ate way too much.

Blog Theme – Love/Hugs

For our first blog hop of 2021 we are all about love/hugs. When looking through my stamp sets for this, I found that I did not have a specific valentines set and thought “Why do I need one?”. Love/hugs is not just about valentines, it is the family we have and those we choose, so my card today is for all my Stampin’ Up! family.

For this card I have decided to use DSP (designer series paper) as my main focal point. You do not have to have the coordinating stamp set and dsp, you can use the images in the dsp. I have chosen to use the ‘Peony Garden DSP’, with its soft floral images.

Fussy cut your chosen floral image from your DSP, ensuring it is a compatible size. I have chosen the ‘Basic Grey’ and white DSP. Colour your image using ‘Petal Pink’ and ‘Soft Sea Foam’ Stampin Blends.

Cut a piece of your chosen backing paper, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm. I have chosen the ‘Grey Granite’ with a soft geometric design. Adhere your coloured image to the left hand side, you may need to trim to fit.

The bow

Colour a piece of ‘Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon’, long enough to wrap around your card and make a double bow, with ‘Petal Pink Stampin Blend’. Place across your card and adhere to the back. Tie a double bow and adhere on top of your ribbon. I make these by wrapping ribbon around two fingers twice, passing it between and then around the ribbon. Secure with a knot, I get someone to help with this.

Stamp your sentiment onto ‘Soft Sea Foam’ cardstock, using ‘Basic Grey’ ink. My sentiment is from the ‘Lovely You’ stamp set. Punch out or fussy cut and using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’ adhere on top of your ribbon.

Adhere your card front onto an A6 ‘Soft Sea Foam’ card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm. To finish, colour ‘Pearl Basic Jewels’ with ‘Petal Pink Stampin Blend’ and adhere to the font of your card.
