Hello and welcome to the June Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop. This month we have a card sketch challenge. You can use a card sketch as precisely or loosely as you wish, following every detail or turning the idea on its head. Our card sketch has measurements and for that reason I have chosen to follow as closely as I can, with the supplies I have.

I do enjoy a card sketch challenge and love to see everyone’s interpretation. Just by changing a shape or using different colours or supplies, makes such a difference to the end product. This card sketch was given to us by Cheryl – Stampin’ n Crafting with Cheryldiana and she has given us metric and imperial measurements. All my measurements are metric.

Creating a Card with a Card Sketch

Trim a piece of Pool Party cardstock to 10.2cm x 14.6cm and dry emboss, using the Dots embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. Adhere this to an A6 Pool Party cardbase, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm.

Cut a Melon Mambo mat layer, measuring 8cm x 11cm, and adhere to your embossed layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the second largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies, cut two circles from Basic White cardstock. Add a light shadow of Pool Party ink with a Blending Brush. Stamp several hearts on one circle, using Melon Mambo ink and I used the hearts from the Bee My Valentine stamp set. Adhere your circles to your Melon Mambo layer using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stamp and die cut the Beaver image, from the Fluffiest Friends Bundle, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock. Colour your image using Stampin’ Blends, I have used Melon Mambo Dark, Peacan Pie Light and 100 & 300 from the naturals. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere to your lower circle.

For the sentiment I have used ‘Thank you’ from the Throughout The Year stamp set and stamped onto Basic White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Diecut using the longer, narrow banner from the Styish Shapes Dies. Add to your card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish your card, add several Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Hello and welcome to Septembers Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop. This month’s theme is a layout challenge. I really enjoy a layout challenge. It gives me a starting point, but allows my creativity to run wild, should it wish.

Many people question ‘How to use a layout’ and there is no right or wrong way. Layout, or sketch, challenges can be interpreted anyway you like. You can follow it exactly, turn it sideways, on its head, or as a loose idea. I have followed the layout quite closely for my card today, using the Beautiful Balloons Bundle and Designer Series Paper (DSP).

Cut a piece of Bright & Beautiful (DSP), measuring 10cm x 14.4cm. Matt on to an A6 Azure Afternoon card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm.

Using the Stylish Shapes Dies, die-cut the largest circle from a piece of Azure Afternoon DSP and the largest banner from Basic White cardstock. Adhere your circle to your card front.

Stamp your sentiment onto your banner using Azure Afternoon ink and your balloon images onto Basic White cardstock, using Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly and Lost Lagoon ink. Die-cut the balloons using the corresponding dies and adhere to your circle, with your sentiment, using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Add a die-cut tassel to the bottom of the largest balloon, I cut from a piece of Lost Lagoon DSP.

Finishing touches.

Add several pink sequins from the Pastel Adhesive-backed Sequins.

Hello, thank you for stopping by and allowing me to inspire you to get creative! Today I would like to share with you a card using the On The Farm Bundle, and the FREE Day At The Farm DSP (Designer Series Paper), which I created for Global Design Project #GDP382. This week we have a sketch challenge.

Please note. The Day At The Farm DSP is only available during Sale-a-bration 2023.

Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Thick Basic White cardstock. Cut a piece of Day At The Farm DSP, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm, and adhere to your card front. Trim a contrasting square of DSP, measuring 10cm x 10cm, and adhere to your card front, on top of your first piece.

Stamp your cow, sheep, and tree images, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, onto Basic White cardstock. Colour your images using Watercolour Pencils. I have used a combination of Assortment 1 & 2. Using a Blender Pen, lightly go over your watercolour pencil to blend shading. This also helps to remove pencil marks. Die cut your images using the coordinating dies.

Die cut three circles, using the Layering Circles Dies, from Vellum. I have used the second and third smallest, plus the fourth largest. Adhere these to your card front, using a spot of Multi-Purpose Glue in the middle. Add your coloured images to your circles, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp your sentiment onto Basic White cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and trim or die cut to size. I chose to use a banner from Stylish Shapes Dies and trim off the lefthand side. Adhere into place using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches.

Give your sheep a sparkle with Wink Of Stella and add several Loose Daisy Embellishments.

Hello, thank you for stopping by and allowing me to inspire you to get creative! Today I would like to share with you how embossing vellum can give you a beautiful effect, full of texture. I created this card for the Global Design Project #GDP370. This week we have a card sketch and as I have said in a previous post, I love a sketch challenge.

Not only is my card based on the sketch above, but it is also inspired by a card created by Mikaela Titheridge – The Crafty oINK Pen. Using the smaller, accent stamps and dies from a set. The Charming Sentiments stamp set and dies bundle, has a number of these that can be used for a variety of projects. I have used a selection of the dies as decorations on my wreath.

Embossing Vellum for a Congratulations Card

Cut a piece of Vellum cardstock to 10cm x 14.4cm and place into the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder, ensuring the bricks run the correct way. Run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, with the correct plates. Embossing Vellum gives both beautiful depth and texture.

Stamp the wreath, from the Cottage Wreaths stamp set, onto Granny Apple Green cardstock, using Granny Apple Green ink. This gives a beautiful tone on tone with no white border when die-cut with the coordinating die. Adhere to your embossed vellum with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere your vellum to a piece of Basic Black cardstock, measuring 9.8cm x 14.2cm, placing your adhesive behind your wreath. Any adhesive can show through vellum.

Using the Charming Sentiments bundle, stamp your sentiment on Basic Black cardstock, using Versamark ink. Cover with white Embossing Powder, shake off excess and heat until melted. Die-cut with coordinating die and attach to your wreath with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using the smaller accent heart, star and bow dies, die-cut several of each from Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana and Melon Mambo cardstock. Adhere these flat onto your wreath, tucking some behind your sentiment.

Finishing Touches

Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Thick Basic White cardstock. Adhere your Basic Black layer to the front, using Multi-Purpose Glue. To finish your card, add several Glossy Dots Assortment.

Hello, glad you have popped by to allow me to, hopefully, inspire you to get creative! Today I would like to share with you how to use those scrap pieces of DSP (Designer Series Paper). This card is created for the Global Design Project #GDP342 sketch/layout challenge.

I really enjoy a sketch/layout challenge and this one really got me thinking. I have lots of left-over pieces of DSP and never want to throw them away, now we don’t need to. With this layout you can use them up.

For this card I have used the Sun Prints Suite Collection. This includes the Nature’s Prints stamp set and dies bundle, Sun Prints 12″x12″ DSP and Fern 3D embossing folder. I also added extras for embellishment.

Cut a layer of Gray Granite cardstock, measuring 9.5cm x 13.9cm. Using either a Gray Granite Stampin’ Blend or Write Marker, splatter all over, by flicking the brush nib on the edge of the lid. Trim several pieces of DSP to 19.9cm and various widths, around 1cm. Adhere these to your Gray Granite layer.

Stamp your large foliage image onto Basic White cardstock, using Starry Sky ink. Die cut out using the coordinating die. Using the Natural Prints dies, Night of Navy and Gray Granite cardstock, die cut several foliage pieces. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of your stamped image and adhere to your Gray Granite layer. Using Mini Glue Dots or Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere your die cut foliage behind your stamped image.

Wrap Gray Granite Bakers Twine twice around your layer and tie with a bow. Stamp your sentiment onto Gray Granite cardstock, using Versamark and cover with white Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Shake off excess and heat until all is melted. Die cut using the label die and adhere to your layer, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Trim a piece of Basic white cardstock to 10cm x 14.4cm and adhere to the back of your Gray Granite Layer. Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Starry Sky cardstock and fix your Basic White layer to the front.

To finish your card, add Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Hello, for today’s blog I am joining the Global Design Project #GDP338. This week it is a sketch challenge for a slimline card. I do not usually do slimline cards but have to say I really enjoyed creating this.

Floral Slimline Birthday Card

Create a slimline/DL card base, measuring 21cm x 10.5cm, using Basic White Thick cardstock. Cut a layer of Just Jade cardstock, measuring 20.5cm x 10cm, and a layer of Heart & Home DSP, measuring 20cm x 9.5cm. Adhere a Basic Grey Doily, from the Heart & Home Doilies to your DSP layer and adhere this onto your Just Jade layer.

Using the Honeybee Blooms Dies, die cut two foliage sprigs from Cinnamon Cider and Just Jade cardstock. From Fresh Freesia cardstock, die cut four small flowers, using the Flowers of Home Dies and adhere these to the end of your Just Jade sprig.

Stamp and die cut the smaller bouquet image from the Blessings of Home stamp set onto Basic White cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Colour your image using Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, Misty Moonlight, Just Jade, and Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends. Adhere to your doily using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Place your Cinnamon Cider sprig behind your bouquet and adhere with Mini Glue Dots. Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere your Just Jade sprig on top of your bouquet.

Wrap Misty Moonlight/Silver Baker’s Twine, from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack, twice around your card front and tie with a bow. Adhere your card front to your card base. Stamp your sentiment using Misty Moonlight ink, onto Basic white cardstock, and trim into three pieces. Add to your card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finish your card by adding several Fresh Freesia 2021-2023 In-colour Jewels.

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I would like to share with you a Simple Monochrome card, that I have created for the Global Design Project. This week we have been given a sketch/layout to use and interpret as we wish.

For this project I have chosen to create a simple monochrome card, using the Daisy Lane stamp set and coordinating Daisy punch.

A Simple Monochrome Card

Trim a piece of Basic White cardstock to 9cm x 12cm. Using the smaller of the two daisy images, stamp randomly in the bottom righthand section of your card, using Rich Razzleberry ink. Stamp each daisy twice and off center, to give a fuller flower. Splatter with Rich Razzleberry ink. I use a Stampin’ Write Marker and flick the brush nib on the edge of the lid. You could use your Water Painter and ink or a paintbrush.

Trim a piece of Shimmery White cardstock to 9cm x 14.4cm. Using Rich Razzleberry ink and a wide Water Painter, paint a strip to the top and bottom. Adhere your stamped cardstock on top, leaving an equal strip top and bottom. Create an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using Basic White Thick cardstock. Adhere your stamped and water painted cardstock on the front.

Cut a strip of silver foil measuring 0.8cm x 7cm and a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock measuring 0.5cm x 6.5cm. Trim the lefthand side of each diagonally and adhere to your card front. Ensure the righthand edges are level with your Basic White stamped cardstock.

On a scrap of Basic White cardstock, stamp two large daisies using Rich Razzleberry ink and punch out with the coordinating punch. Curl your petals using a Bone Folder and adhere one on top of the other. I have used a Stampin’ Dimensional for extra dimension. Adhere on top of your strips using a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Finishing Touches

Stamp your sentiment in Versamark, onto Rich Razzleberry cardstock. Sprinkle with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, shake off excess and heat untill melted. Trim to size and add to your large daisy. Finish your card by adding Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Hello and welcome to the second Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop. Weather you have hopped on by from a fellow demonstrator, or started here with me, I am glad you have stopped by. Our theme this month is a sketch, designed by our fantastic Sara at Kiss Kreative.

I love a good sketch and this one is such fun. We are able to use any products to interpret this as we feel. I have chosen to use the ‘Ice Cream Corner Suite’, from the January – June 2021 catalogue. This is such a bright, fun suite that is excellent for the coming summer months.

You’re So Cool card

Create an A6 card base from ‘Blackberry Bliss’ cardstock, measuring 10.5 cm x 14.9cm. Layer with a piece of ‘Basic White’ cardstock, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm. Cut a piece of ‘Ice Cream Corner’ DSP (Designer Series Paper), measuring 4cm x 13.9cm, and adhere to the left hand side of your ‘Basic White’ layer. Trim a second piece of coordinating ‘Ice Cream Corner’ DSP, measuring 10cm x 2.5cm, and adhere towards the bottom of your ‘Basic White’ layer.

Using ‘Old Olive’, ‘Terracotta Tile’ and ‘Bermuda Bay’ ink, stamp your ice cream image onto ‘Basic White’ cardstock. Punch out using the ‘Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch’. Also using the ‘Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch’, punch out three cones from ‘Cinnamon Cider’ DSP. Attach your stamped ice cream to your cones, using ‘Multipurpose Adhesive’. Add your ice creams to your card, using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’.

Stamp your You’re So Cool sentiment onto ‘Basic Black’ cardstock, using ‘Versamark’ ink. Cover with ‘White Stampin Emboss Powder’, shake off excess and heat until all is melted. Fussy cut each word and adhere to your card using ‘Mini Stampin Dimensionals’.

Finish your card by adding ‘Wink Of Stella’ to your ice creams.

I have chosen to revisit the ‘Ornate Garden Suite’, from the 2020/2021 annual catalogue. This suite contains two stamp set and die bundles, embossing folder, ribbon, DSP (designer series paper) and gems. The colours, (‘Terracotta Tile’, ‘Bumble Bee’, ‘Old Olive’, ‘Mint Macaron’, ‘Early Espresso’ and Gold), are fresh and perfect for a spring project.

I have chosen to introduce some other elements, not from the suite, to my project. I love the versatility and coordination of Stampin’ Up! products.

Enjoy The Moment Card #GDP286

Create a 10.5cm square card base from ‘Blackberry Bliss’ cardstock and layer with a 10cm square of ‘Ornate Garden Speciality DSP’. Cut a second piece of ‘Ornate Garden Speciality DSP’, measuring 9cm square and adhere to your card front.

Adhere a circular element, from the ‘Dandy Laser-cut Paper’ , to your card front. Stamp your daisy and small flower images, from the ‘Ornate Style’ stamp set, using ‘Memento Tuxedo Black Ink’ on ‘Basic White’ cardstock. Colour using ‘Blackberry Bliss’, ‘ Crumb Cake’, ‘Daffodil Delight’ and ‘Old Olive’ ‘Stampin Blends’ combos. Fussy cut and adhere to your circular element. Use ‘Stampin Dimensionals’ to adhere your daisy.

Using ‘Blackberry Bliss’ ink, stamp your sentiment on ‘Basic White’ cardstock. I have used the ‘Enjoy The Moment’ sentiment from the ‘Enjoy The Moment’ stamp set. Cut out each word and adhere to your card front, using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’.

Add several ‘Pearl Basic Jewels’ to finish your card.

Hello and welcome. Sorry for the break in posting, but hopefully you may have noticed a new look for my website. I decided it needed a change to better fit with future plans. It took some getting used to, working and learning behind the scenes. I am pleased with what I have achieved, but still have away to go.

For todays blog post I am joining Global Design Project #GDP284 – CASE The Designer. CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit. I hope I have done justice to Krista Frattin’s original design.

To a Friend That Makes Me Smile

Create an A6 card blank, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, from ‘Basic White’ thick cardstock and layer with a piece of ‘Forever Greenery DSP’ (Designer Series Paper), measuring 10cm x 14.4cm. Trim two coordinating pieces of ‘Forever Greenery DSP’, measuring 10.5cm x 2.5cm and 1.5cm x8.5cm. Adhere to your card base, with the smaller piece overlapping the larger piece. Wrap twice with gold trim, from the ‘Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack’ and tie in a bow.

Die cut several foliage pieces, using the ‘Forever Flourishing Dies’, from ‘A4 Vellum Cardstock’, ‘Garden Green’, ‘Shaded Spruce’, ‘Pretty Peacock’ and ‘Soft Sea Foam’ cardstock. Add in one of the ‘Forever Gold Laser-cut Speciality Paper’ pieces and arrange on to your card front.

Stamp your sentiment ‘To a Friend That Makes Me Smile’ on to ‘Basic White’ cardstock, using ‘Pretty Peacock’ ink. I used the ‘Forever Fern’ stamp set. Die cut using the ‘Stitched Nested Labels Die’ and adhere to your card front using ‘Stampin Dimensionals’. Adhere your foliage into place, using ‘Multipurpose Glue’.

Finish card by adding ‘Gilded Gems’.
